Thinking about buying a pre-owned Rolex from Overstock.com

i got one when i was NY a few months ago from some dude selling them in times square for $20 cash.

great deal.

it still works too.

I bought one from a friend for $30 in the 90's. It lasted like 8 months. :hmm:
Loved the look of that watch so much I'm thinking about getting a real one.

I bought Tag Heuer Carrera abt 4 yrs ago and spent almost 5k on it

4 yrs down the line I wish I could have invested the money by buying some stocks on the cheap then

do I regret no, have I learned my lesson yes.

personal advise, invest that money to make money

Co Sign.

I got a pre-owned date just years ago and I too wish I invested to make money instead of wearing it.

I'm not in the market for one, probably never will be, but I and a few friends have found good deals on used watches on the Watchuseek.com forums. I've seen Rolexes on there, as well as Omegas and Breitlings. I've had my eye on a Hamilton, as it's more in my price range. You'll want to research the seller and all that jazz, but it may be a solid resource for you.

It appears that you both made bad decisions by buying a Rolex without having a solid investment first. OP seems to be investing hard already, according to his investment threads.

OP has the disposable funds, let him enjoy it. It's not like he's throwing money away.

I knew I was doing well when 90% of the niggas I ran into in the street would ask me what i'd been up to, and follow it up with

"must be nice." or "everybody ain't able."

jump you a datejust and enjoy your gotdamn life/money

Found a 10% off coupon, tried it, and it worked!!!

Plus they gave me an extra $10 off for some reason. Don't know why.
But I have purchased from them before so... :dunno:

I have 4 grand, but I ain't got 4 grand for no damn watch.

Even if I won the lottery for $80 mill, I probably still wouldn't buy a Rolex.

Why dudes gotta lie? If you won 80 million dollars you'd probably have a Rolex belt and Rolex bed sheets

jagu's right though. you see these cats all in the if you won the lottery threads all fawning. but here in this real world thread, everyone wants to be "sensible". i hate rich people, but i hate poor mothafuckas more.

I purchased a 50th anniversary submariner for 3500 a few years back and now I could sell it for close to 9000 not a bad investment

I wish I would have jumped on those when they came out, value went way up.

I have purchased some Rolexes used on ebay, including from Govberg Watches. They look like new, and price is (relatively) strong.

10 years ago you could have got a Submariner for $3000-$3500 used, now they are $5500+, and there are millions of them out there. Hard to believe the demand is that high.

I enjoy wearing them very much. If you have really got it, do it.

And post a pic of the one you just bought PD.

By the way, you got a great deal. I see that it has no lug holes and those are more desirable on the market.

Also, try to add it to your homeowner's or renter's insurance because it will hurt if you ever lose it or if the clean up man takes it.

You are now going to find yourself trying to buy more until your wife says something about it.

Fuck y'all! Now I want a rolex Daytona. I looked up my watch the zenith el primero reserve. Had no idea it was so nice. I picked it because it looked good. Hopefully, I can get one by the end of the year.

Yes, a gold Rolex is real gold.

Yes they hold some value, watches should not be bought for an investment. Not unless you got A wholesale hookup.
A watch is not an investment and thats not why youre buying it. Buy it cuz u want it and can afford it, dont delude yourself. Yes its better than alot of other frivalous shit ppl spend momeny on, and hopefully 4k aint gonna make u or break u.
