VA and NC have become "swing states" due to the number of people who have moved here for college, jobs and/or a lower cost of living.

VA and NC are swing states but you got to remember that Romney won NC in 2012. Yes it's swing but minorities did not turn out for the midterms in 2010 which lead to all the fuck laws that are in place now down there (voting restrictions, restricting Obamacare, guns in bars and bullshit).

I will need good high speed internet as I will be doing remote work from home at times and also will probably get DirectTV for my tv access since I need to see my NY based teams. Any recommendations for a good ISP?

My nigga! Man, I hit up Sugar Bares one night by accident! I had to spend the night in Greensboro and was bored. I went to one club that wouldn't let me in because I was wearing Timbs. So I called a cab. I asked the cab driver, some Middle Eastern guy, were there any other clubs or bars popping. And he was like "Yeah, I'll take you to SugarBares. All the black people go there!" I walked in thinking it was a regular club, and it turned out to be one of the grimiest strip clubs I've ever been to. Well, I shouldn't say "grimy", but just hood. The bouncer confiscated everybody's cell phones at the door. And to get a lap dance, you had to show ID, where they wrote your name and drivers license number down! I got a couple of lap dances anyway, and went back to the floor to chill. Then another stripper came over to ask. So I went to the back with her. Along the way, she said "I do a little sucking and a little fucking too baby!" I had to trick off! Another dancer was fucking a guy in the same room as me and mine.

Funniest thing about that night was a nerdy-looking white boy was straight blowing up the ATM! He looked totally out of place, but had two hos by his side at all times.

Is Raleigh a Bible-thumping "what church do you go to" kind of area?

The Triangle (Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill) is one of the more liberal/blue areas of the whole state. It's still a southern state for the most part so it's a lot of church based activities, but it's no worse than parts of VA or Md. It's definitely better than other surrounding states like West Va, Tennessee or South Carolina

Now, I did have the privilege of hitting up Sugar Bares a time or two before it got shut down.
It was like a much more hood version of Stadium in DC.
Almost everything and anything could be had in there.

42nd street oyster bar( seafood, but after 1030 on Saturday it becomes a 40 and over white dance club. Ora( small plates but actually good) , the pit( good bar b que spot that has been on food network) Sullivan's steakhouse( best steak I've had in years), busy bee( diverse menu with a great Sunday brunch).

Food in the north hills area( midtown) , cowfish( trendy sushi/burger restaurant that gets crazy packed on Saturdays and no reservations allowed). Mura( sushi)

Strip clubs

Not many to choose from. Capital caberet is more a white strip club with a few black girls scattered but all look good. Very nice venue with a 10 dollar cover and 2 dollar beers on Tuesdays. Foxy lady is more of a black one but a piece of shit but they give you a cheap cigar at the door and if you smoke you can smoke inside.

Bodi, mirage, spy. Black clubs with expensive covers. Not a club guy so never been but always a lot of people there but seem kinda hood from driving by. Solas is the big 3 floor mixed club downtown with a ten dollar cover that all trendy people go to. Girls in dresses and hills and guys walking in dressed like James harden and Dwayne wade. Pretty straight spot if that's your thing. Directly next door is a free mixed bar called noir. Same atmosphere as solas but smaller and kinda a jersey shore vibe and the best hallowed party is thrown there. If your into nice mostly white spots with bad white girls and a few spots and the dj plays great hip hop and pop music from the 90s, 2000s and now go to cornerstone tavern( my favorite spot). No cover, cute girls but mainly white and great beer. If you like 80s and 90s music hit up coglins. Mostly white but the walks are covered with nothing but 80s and 90s stuff like old wwf action figures but it's not corny at all. People get extra drunk and the dj is on point. If your black and trying to get white girls then go to coglins. I know five black guys including myself who all smashed a white girl from there. Hell I pulled a white and an Indian girl. Something about coglins, brothers have to try not to get lucky. Capital city tavern is on point also. Mostly white but good music , good atmosphere and good drinks.Zinda is kinda a jersey shore spot with cute girls, big easy and the place directly next to zinda are huge but nothing but white people. Only black people are the bouncers. Hibernian and tir na nog are typical big Irish pubs. The piano bar is trash. Rum runners is the name and one of the only non black spots that has a cover( 5 bucks). It's a club room in the back but kinda a trashy crowd. But if you like piano bars that's your only option. If you are looking to watch a game then go to tobacco road( the main huge multi tv sports bar is is always packed during the ncaa tournament. If your a beer guy then hit up the flying saucer downtown and if in north hills( midtown) then world of beer. These are places that have hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of beers. Pretty good. There are a bunch of breweries scattered throughout the city. Any other questions just ask. Black clubs are mainly on glenwood, west street, and the same street as the bar b q spot the pit( I can't remember the name). Fayetteville street is mainly white spots but nice and good music

Firstly, the Ville has the coolest chicks I ever met, but def not the best looking. That title goes to Charlotte, hands down.

I disagree with us hating on NYC folk coming down bagging chicks and we being jealous. That's some high school shit. Nobody going to give the man problem getting his down here.

I agree that NC will not give the same excitement as NYC. There will be many boring days, but that is the slow life down here. You got to make thing happen in NC versus Ny where thing is always happening.

Lastly, our Hispanic chicks down here are mainly Mexican. We do not have a large population of Ricans and Dominicans. While there are here, you would be more likely to find a variety of Mexicans, South Americans, Central America, and Caribbean.

That being said, the is no shortage of black women down here, especially with all the universities here.

Nc is becoming more liberal. 10 years ago it was super conservative, but a flux of people moving here from out of state is changing the face of NC.

Also the white women love the brothers here if that's your thing.
