"No Flex Zone" - Rae Sremmurd - The new Kid N' Play??

For those who are saying, its an age thing, check this...... I can make a post about the motown era, today, and get love, shit I could even make one about kid and play, again nothing but love.... Now make a post about this mother fucken song three years from now, and see if folks wont laugh at you like you are some fool.. That would be like me making a post about the chicken noodle soup song today..

all speculation...

Hmmm I like where you going with this.

The beat is cool, the hook is catchy, that high voice squealing shit has an appeal. The lyrics are no.different than Rick Ross, and whatever grown trash rapper, some of y'all post as groundbreaking.

I think its silly to compare the Motown Golden era to shit like this. That's like me comparing Cyndi Lauper of the 80's to Alicia Keys. Cyndi Lauper doesn't define music of the 80's as does these Rae Sremmurd dudes doesn't describe music of now.

I don't think ANYBODY claimed the song was groundbreaking. I think it's just a catchy song that cats are feelin.

WTF are they eating and drinking in Mississippi to be in their 20s looking like 12 y/o kids? I might be an old head, but this shit got me like this.
:dance::dance::dance::dance:

Man.....when I heard this shit down here a few months ago for the first time....I thought it was a local kid artist trying to get on. I didn't even know it was two of them and didn't even know they were in their 20's.

Thank you! I jammed the whole New Gucci, Brick Factory last night and it was Fire!!! And I don't rock with Guwop or that style of music like that. Good music is good music and it resonates over all boundaries....old ...young...well off...poor.
This shit is Trash!

Basically... Bro niggas are bandwagon hoppers. Bet if I plaed one of these niggas a heavy metal record with a tough guitar rip they would automatically call it trash cause their homies ain't jamming it. Fuck these twitter niggas folk!

You lost me with this shit. So you rock with that new Gucci but over here talking about these niggas is wack and good music is good music? Gucci made a lane for these young niggas.

Bro you don't have to always defend all current music all the time

Bottom line is some people think this is trash

And I do feel this generation is missing timeless music

There is some but just not enough

Not just in hip hop but R&B as well

I feel that was his point more than anything

I think this song is catchy but I won't give a damn about it soon enough just like that young thug shit earlier this year, future, that racks on racks shit, and all the catchy songs before that

Flavor of the month ass shit

Its not about defending it.

I get into this same debate when people say the South is wack and then they proceed to bring up niggas like Soulja Boy and Lil Jon and shit like that as if that speaks for the south and all it has to offer.

So when I see someone say this generation doesn't have timeless music and use this group Rae Sremmurd as a example? Shit is silly fam.

When we talk about 90's hip hop we don't bring up Vanilla Ice or Skee-Lo.

So if the statement being made is these dudes don't make "timeless" music than I don't disagree with that. I've only heard 2 songs from them. But I also don't think these dudes represent today's music either.

Actually, if you was reading correctly, you would see that there is no comparison to the motown era or even the watered down kid and play...
My argument was establishing the difference between music that is timeless to music that is time dated to music that is trash and disposable trash..
In case you still have problems understanding, Motown is timeless, Kid n Play are time dated, and this No Flex Zone is chicken noodle soup 2.0 aka disposable trash, never to be heard of with in 5 years, there were plenty of songs like that from each era, noting exclusive to todays sound.

So you compare an entire era of music, a whole duo's career, to one, ONE fucking song?

Mental midgets.

been bumpin this for awhile now. the beats catchy as fuck the lyrics are something different. fo sho aint no kid and play tho. gotta love the youngins energy
