MJW was not and has not been a star. White folks probably don't even know who he is. Crews has been getting apt of work. There is no pecking order in Hollywood for who should get what role.

Dunno where to begin with this one...MJW is a star, and hes no more obscure than Crews, Ortiz, or the other low rank actors they have in here. At the end of the day 2 factors play into who they cast, cost and shine.

Stallone needs people that he can fit in budget so he has to pick and choose who he gets based on that. The other is shine, Stallone will NOT be outshined by his cast, HE is the main hero of the movie and nobody can make him look inferior.

Thats why he couldn't afford the Rock, both on Cost and the fact that the Rock also commands shine and wont give up shine to Stallone. Dude wont play a comic book character unless he is on par with Superman.

stallone for the most part uses washed up action stars...relatively unknown actors in the action movie genre...and fighters w/ hardly any acting experience...the rock won't be in one of these movies for a long while if ever...if he does it'd be as a favor cuz there's nothing the expendables could do for him career wise...it makes sense for stallone...none for the rock

First off if this is supposed to be 80's action hero's then Carl Weathers should be the #1 goto guy for this series. Since we know he and Stallone had bad blood that wasnt gonna happen. After Weathers would be the next 80's/90's black action star Steve James....but he passed away. After THAT you should look at Snipes but he was away so they got him when he got out. Terry Crews should have NEVER been in any of these movies for the simple fact that he is not nor has ever been an action star!!! just some cheap negro they could throw in there. MJW is the next in line after Snipes and is the only name that comes to mind should they want to add some legitimacy to martial artists side of the expendibles....but its clear that Stallone doesnt want anyone overshadowing him...including Statham and Jet Li!

Height maybe the issue, White is mad small in size even for Hollywood standards so it my be hard to match him in size with other actors for filming But Snipes is short as well maybe not as short as White.

Snipes and Stallone are both no taller than 5' 7". White is a good 6 feet tall.

However, Creed is not seen in any form of flashback (this was due to a fall out between Sylvester Stallone and Carl Weathers, which was caused by Weathers wish to appear in Rocky Balboa. Stallone denied his request, as Creed's character was killed off in Rocky IV, and as a result, Weathers refused the right to use his image in the film.)
