WTF just happened? Checking...
I was very sad and disappointed when I heard the news that this young brother had robbed a damn store. His
mother had us believe he was a big teddy bear who wouldn't harm a fly. He was just a young cool kid who was
on his way to his grand-mothers house when he was accosted by the police for walking in the street. In just a
few days he was on his way to college. With a story like that we all need to get behind a brother like that.
Man the way he threw that clerk around this guy has thug written all over his ass. These type of motherfuckers
are in the the ATL everyday doing home invasions killing innocent families on the regular. A motherfucker
robbing a fucking store is not normal behavior. My friends and I were never robbing people when we were kids,
shit never entered our mind. All we wanted to know was where is the pussy.
I know what I'm saying is not popular, but we can't use up our resources and good will on this dude, no way in
hell I would be out on the street championing a dude that in any day might be robbing or killing my ass.
My Father told us when we were kids and throughout our lives until he died, he said "Son there are 2 things I hate in life, a liar and a thief"
My God bless the soul of this young brother
HNIC
SMH at the developments of today...
Here's something I haven't seen posted:
The momentum WILL be lost IF WE ALLOW IT. I understand that this is a blow to the progress made thus far, but is also an opportunity to expose how the system treats us. And trust, it is being exposed.
Even right now, all kind of reporters and news outlets are wondering "what the hell does this robbery have to do with Mike Brown's murder?"
White people believe we are potential criminals whether we are or not. That's why it means nothing to them when a Black man is executed in the streets. They feel it's justifiable because "he's a potential criminal".
That must change. Even if Mike Brown stole those cigarillos, HIS LIFE IS STILL VALUABLE.
This is one of the best opportunities I can recall, to force a change in the system because we are dealing with some bumbling idiots in that police force and the local government. They think they can hide shit like in the old days while not realizing that this truly is the information age and that the spotlight is on them.
Their prejudice is out for the world to see, and we will see some positive change IF we don't succumb to the trickery.
WE HAVE TO TEACH AMERICA THAT EVEN IF A BLACK PERSON HAS FLAWS, THEY DO NOT DESERVE DEATH ON SITE. If a black person is not in the process of killing or hurting, then they don't deserve death.
That's basically the root of the problem anyway, they are SCARED of us. Don't be discouraged though because we have a great opportunity here...
grownazzblakman If I was unjustly murdered on the street and black folks were outraged about how I
died, then it was later found out that I ran a porno board that had illegal content, it would derail
the movement. You need someone clean to lead a movement even in death. That's all I'm saying.
The incident in Ferguson was really about to change the way policing is done across the country as
well as in Ferguson. The Militarization of policing was being looked at hard. The Police Chief was
probably going to be fired. All of this change was happening because of the pristine reputation of the
victim. When the victims name was sullied, the script is now being re-written and like another member
stated, there is a good change the cop will get off. That's all I was saying. Big changes was about to
happen, but now I don't know.
HNIC
On tv they showed areas that were festive in memorial and others that were more conservative with protesters marching and chanting. I have no problem with either. The community seems together with a common purpose. Thats whats important here.
You have to understand.
There are low lives out there that don't care nothing about the situation, they want it to get out of hand so they can loot.
I wish they would stop calling the looters/thieves protesters.
They are not the same!
I haven't seen that. Or not on the Twitter feeds anyway. From what i've been reading from reports, the REAL protestors are the ones stopping the looters and not the police. What Faux News is reporting.......i'm sure they're calling them all the same.
How much dirt do teens do that their parents know nothing about? How many kids are shoplifting on dares or for the thrill of it and taking and sending naked selfies? There was a bunch of white kids running a prostitute ring, I'm sure their parents didn't know until the cops came knocking. He didn't have a criminal record and so if he was acting a fool outside the house and not bringing the drama home, I wouldn't expect his mother to know. Plus, as I said previously, they had asked the store (I read the incident took place at a liquor store and not the QT-not 100% tho) so she didn't have any reason to believe differently.
So the police officer has a history of being an ass. I'm sure the QT employees could confirm her story.
Mike Brown aside, those police officers trampled on the civil and constitutional rights of it's citizens. They trampled on the civil and constitutional rights of the reporters. They are on video calling black people n*gger, animals and all sorts of racial slurs. This is bigger than one dead black teen. As the white reporter Ryan said, if they are treating him, a white man and member of the press disgracefully, slamming his head into the window, etc, what are they doing to the black locals when there are no cameras and no fear of repercussion?
Bullshit. We need to get away from being collectively guilty or innocent based on the actions of 1 or a few. We need to get away from saying a black person doesn't deserve justice because they are poor, have a past, are not well spoken, wear hoodies or sagging pants etc. No other race has to have their victims vetted to see if they are worthy to seek justice for wrongs visited upon them. This is victim blaming and shaming. It's asking us to play the game by a set of rules no one else is using by telling black people if you do a,b,c or d, and be the "good negro" then you would be treated well and not be on the receiving end of racist acts and hate crimes. It's a lie. For decades we have been doing all sorts of contortions to have someone else pass judgement as to whether or not we are worthy to exist and breath the same air and have the same protections that Americans are supposed to have under the protection of the law by simply being citizens. That's like telling a kid mommy won't beat them and burn them with the iron and lock them in the closet for days on end if they keep their room clean, or play quietly or get good grades. No, mommy is a deranged bitch and no matter how well behaved the kid is, when mommy gets good and ready she is going to go off and beat his ass. We set some white people off simply because we exist, and it isn't because we don't dress like them, or speak like them or carry ourselves a certain way. The only trigger they need is our non-white skin and it doesn't matter whether it's covered in a a hoodie or a suit. Oprah is one of the wealthiest and well respected black women in the world. President Obama is leader of the free world. There are people who would hunt them down like animals if they could and mount their heads as trophies. If they aren't exempt from being called ******* and apes, and being the target of racists, why would anyone in the hood or on a lower social/economic level be any different? Hell often being well do do and successful sets them off even more. [/B]
Provocateurs.
Media over blowing it all. But still having to speak truth.
This shooting victim, I don't even want to think or imagine.
But why do you think FPD, did it the way they did this on the weekend?
Toxicology report, autopsy coming soon to describe Michael Brown as under an influence, and inclusive on bullet wound trajectory etc.
But the police, their sending out a code 2K.Very proud of the cats defending businesses from being looted.
smh...white folx instigating...
Pretty sure this is supposed to read "white males"

so its not just me... I'm not the only one who felt this way.
I do agree, the cop didn't have to kill the boy.
But the way he tossed that clerk around,
makes me think damn sure would had tossed that cop the same way, or resist arrest/detainment also.
Ya'll may not agree with my statements. But they are my words and my words alone.
I wish the best for the city of ferguson, they have a lot of rebuilding, and healing to do.
I wish the best for the family of mike, and offer condolences.
but we as a people (of any race) need to strive better. (on all sides).
Judging how an old ass thread just got bumped, and the post that bumped out reads "why'd you delete that post?"
I'm thinking it was this guy:

.. but WE'RE the thugs....
Mike Brown didn't do himself any favors by being a fuckin thiefI never did shit like that as a child or adult. Robbing stores leads to other shit. I have a lot less sympathy for him now. Aint no set up either, what did you expect the police to do? They didn't force him to do what he did on video.
i agree with this statement..
those who are "looting" ar NOT there for the same cause.
they are low life idiots who have their own agenda.
but they are ruing it for the actual peaceful protest.
If these trolls can't be banned from this board, can they at least get the boot from topics?
