Police just executed an unarmed 17 yr old brotha (shot 10 times)

FAA banned flights under 3000 feet over Feeguson. People are treating this like a war zone, yet it's the citizens fault. Dafuc they think they have stinger missiles?

anybody who expected Obama to be overtly "Pro-Black" when he got elected is foolish in the first place and obviously wasn't basing it on anything Obama campaigned about.

You can't expect motherfuckers who feel hopeless, or near hopeless about the hostility and discrimination we face in this country to not get their hopes up too high.

Obama's election was the unthinkable for many blacks, so it wasn't outside the realm of reason to to think that perhaps the unthinkable, for blacks, would result from his election.

Hey...

...it is what it is.

these are some of the dumbest people on earth i swear.

black people just love these CACS

why would a black owned forum sticky a thread about the death of a white millionaire CAC?

We need to get our own house in order before anything else

just look at the sticky Robin Williams on the BGOL

Disgusting

Nobody expected him to be Pro Black, those that voted for him and funded only required that he respect the damn people who put his ass in office by VOTING .

This murder is indicative of a fucking National crisis bubbling up, and the president of the entire nation is acting as if Black people do not DESERVE equal protection from the military funded by our own tax dollars.

These police are terrorist, we pay for them to murder us??? this ain't no little shit anymore, when the FAA is clearing air space.

So Fuck Obama, and all that keep consigning his bullshit because Congress is "boo hoo" too tough for him to do anything. If nothing else stop the terrorism on our blocks by the police.

I mean, I understand...but to think that Obama was going to be a civil rights type figure when he never campaigned on it is an expectation based purely on skin color...not an understanding of politics or the platform he ran on.

I'm not saying black people shouldn't say fuck Obama or whoever else would be president right now. All I'm saying is Obama never presented himself to be a person that would be responding to every event that occurs in the black community...so it's kind of stupid for niggas to say "where's Obama on this?" every time a race conflict comes up in the media

What do we want? This shit keeps happening and we demand justice...what kind of justice? What laws? What consequences?

If the government won't give it to us what are the consequences?

This is the conversation we need to hand right now. If we can get on the dams page about this I know we can see some actual results

I'm not disagreeing with you...

...but Obama knew why blacks came out in major numbers. It sure as hell wasn't because they DIDN'T think he'd do much to repair our situation here.

Whether it's unrealistic or not...

...Obama's support from blacks was so huge because the expectations were huge. I don't think black people knew specifically what they wanted. They just knew they didn't want more of the same.

Like I said...

...it is what it is.

You're being so logical about, but desperate people don't always have the luxury of being logical.

The reality is, a lot of people vote and don't really know the ins and outs of politics, and the candidates know that. That's why they can get up and promise a bunch of shit that they know can't be delivered on purely because THEY want it to...

...and people bite deeply into it.

They know this, and they use this knowledge to their advantage.

Is, was, Missouri considered the South? I always figured it the Mid-West...

To have that flag above the Mason - Dixon line is pure hate not "culture"

*Edit*

I just Googled a Mason Dixon map and Missouri was in the South at the time of the war, not so much today...Still racist though

mason-dixon-map-650.jpg

Missouri actually acquired that little strip of land to be below the line of latitude to be considered south

I'm surprised I haven't heard anyone hasn't been talking about recall elections and throwing people out of office.

If that city really has such a majority black population, there is no reason it should be controlled by 95% CAC police force. Throw them bums out the legal way: http://www.moga.mo.gov/statutes/c000-099/0770000650.htm

Unless Obama is going to bypass the congress and start pushing some straight Bush moves (only, they would be a lot quicker impeach him), he has to toe the line politically. Whites already think that he is trying to undermine their race and he's not even doing anything special for us, imagine if he overtly started to have a pro-black agenda?

A lot of the disillusionment comes from people not realizing that Presidents are not kings...without legislative and political backing, they can't act unilaterally.

same people here that are now advocating for change are also the same that support The N word

Perhaps we should start looking within ourselves first?

A president is a CEO.

Powerful...

...but definitely not all-powerful.

Perhaps we should start looking within ourselves first?

So you think stopping use of the N word should take precedent over, say, harsh punishments against cops who abuse their authority?

I mean, you did say .... 'first'.

Not to mention, there is no evidence that use of the n-word has any true negative affects, but bullets through our skulls from cops definitely have been proven to affect us negatively.

Not to mention, if we could change things about what whites do to us, I doubt 'stop using the N-word' would be in the top 5. If that's the case, then why would blacks using it, when it's not even used in the same manner as whites, need to make that priority 1?

So in other words. Black folk continue to let themselves be exploited. Instead of taking the time and getting to know who and what they are voting for. I don't blame the politicians. I blame the people for staying ignorant. I blame the people for their lack of interest to gain knowledge.

Agent provocateurs got a foothold in this thread at this point, huh?

When is bgol going to get a spin-off board where we can really discuss black issues and solutions? Completely independent of this site.

Where can I donate to THAT kickstarter page?

Dude, how many Americans do you think now the ins and outs of politics?

I would bet a very significant portion of the voting population vote based on party.

I've been in more than my share of political debates...

...and it is clear that knowledge, in all forms, is not a commodity regarded very highly by most Americans.
