Bruh...
REALLY???
But I hear you.
I was just talking to this Sista handing out leaflets on the Eric Garner case in midtown this morning. Alton Maddox Jr. and the United African Movement are trying to get funding set up for Raymond Orta and his family. He's the dude that shot the video of Garner getting a choke-hold. That family is being targeted by the NYPD now.
I told her that I'm been active since Michael Stewart and Eleanor Bumpurs. And that with video, people, especially young people should be out there mobilizing. But I also said to her that even with that video, most of us are a brainwashed people. We're just too pre-occuppied with material and trivial shit to do anything.
And when I heard on the news that Sharpton now stooped to a bus caravan and not a march over the Verranzano, we both felt this may be a wrap. On top of that, Lady told me that Sharpton got his pal Sanford Rubinstein involved. Now NY BGOL'ers know what that means.
Game,
We all want to see some form of justice with both cases. And I fear that you may be right with parts of your comment. But I still hold to the economic boycott and the fallout that it can create. Black people do account for a lot of money passing through this country. It's just our mindset in regards to that info that needs to be seriously worked on.
Please bring it to there awareness. We spend money like it nuthing. We got wat we didn't have 60 years ago. And we still cant get right?
Time to look within our own community and start taking responsibility for our situations. We have enuff power to make thing better so why we still blaming white folks!
If we represent for black police officers I'm sure They would speak up and put a stop to this.
If we support our own businesses I'm sure they would sponsor our gathering and entertainment and etc.
Come on
