Fired that Springfield XDS .45ACP today at the gun range.....
Very nice gun....recoil was minimal I was pretty accurate with it.
Will be purchasing one.

The extended clip is 7 so you can do 7+1.....

Got mine earlier this year and love it.
I've had mine since they dropped, and it has been my EDC since it hit the 250 round mark. Nice stopping power, in a small package.
I sent mine in for repair on the 1st day of the recall. I didn't have an issue before, nor have I had any issues after the recall. There have been reports of issues with light primer strikes. Knock on wood, I haven't had any issues with mine. I always run any pistol, I intend to use as an EDC through 200-250 rounds.

Tried out a couple of guns before moving on this one. I had my heart set on a Springfield Armory XDS .45, but it was used and was sold before I could get back to it. Could have had one transferred from another store, but i didn't want to pay transfer fees and it wasn't as clean and taken care of as the other. I like this gun, the weight, feel, safety features, and overall appearance of the gun. Reviews have been mixed but most have been positive with only minor upgrades suggested.
I don't know why I didn't just buy it outright but for whatever reason I put it on lay away. Will get it in the next week n post more pictures then.

Bruh go to the range and rent .40 9mm and .45 caliber (this will be expensive)
but you will get a feel for it.....
for your first gun stay away from the 1911s they are somewhat more difficult to care for and its cocked and locked which for a beginner might not be safe
Glocks aren t bad in 9mm try the Glock 17
