In the 21st century we need to rethink the concept of marriage and why it should be done between two people. Two people getting married for financial advantage has existed long before getting married for purely romantic reasons. Or at least MORE people got married for financial reasons than romantic ones. What we today would call a marriage of convenience was the norm centuries ago.
