B-Hop is not scared

This is a good fight for B-Hop, these are the types of fighters he's excelled against (straight forward aggressive fighters with little defense/movement).
If he wins this one it would be a perfect time for him to retire, I hope he takes advantage of it (though I doubt he will).
If he wins that means he will end up being a 50 year old unified title holder after having won the titles a couple of months shy of his 50th.
Knowing B-Hop though I doubt he retires he'll probably go for a fight against Adonis Stevenson after.

THis is a dangerous fight for B hop he could die in that ring or shorten his life getting put to sleep at 50 aint the same as being put to sleep when your younger. :scary:
B Hop is one tough fighter. But even more important is that he has boxing down to a science. I'm sure he'll be just fine.

Benard aint scared but I think he might be in trouble in this fight,that's one thing about boxing most don't know when it's time to retire til it's to late,in his prime Benard beats this guy he fights more flat footed now that might be a problem against Kovalev
If Hopkins can hug 'n mug this dude on the inside, circle the ring and stave him off with a stiff jab, he can win an ugly anticlimactic split decision. He may not dominate, but he can win.
Yes, that was said when he was younger and going against lesser opponents. BHop is now 50 years old and this opponent is a monster.
If Bhop wins this fight and also beats Stevenson, he goes top 10 of all-time across all divisions. Someone has to come off a top 10 spot, period. His resume would be top tier.
The same was more recently said against Cloud and Pascal. In fact, the same is said every time he's stepped in the ring in his mid/late 40s. Yeah, his opponent is a monster, but so is B-Hop at what he does. Not saying it will be a cake walk; just saying he's got a shot.
I remember when he fought kelly pavlik at 40 something. Pavlik was a beast and bhop gave dude a pure boxing lesson. He is my fav fighter and even I have counted him out on occassion, he ALWAYS brings savy ring skill to the fight and pulls it out. This should be no difference but you have to wonder when father time will catch up to him.
No amount of steroids or hgh will save B Hop from that Russian. The problem is this guy has one punch KO power. None of the guys B Hop beat did.

Exactly. This dude could retire Hopkins or be the crowning achievement of an already illustrious career. It could go either way and the numbers have it in Kovalev's favor, but you can never count out Hopkins.
I can't deny Kovalev is a killer--LITERALLY a killer (RIP Roman Simakov)-- in the ring, but I can't say his resume is stacked with world class fighters of Hopkin's caliber, either. Hopkins has made plenty of knockout artists looks drab in the ring with his defense and old school wily veteran tricks. He's also got a great chin. This. You'll hear some folks make an argument for him to be top ten already, but this would b undisputed top ten
