devil's advocate for 360 deal: management develops an artist. They invest money and promote artist. Artist ets endorsement and merch money based on the image and celebrity management helped developed.
shouldn't management get a percentage of those endorsements and merch deals based on the fact that those deals are because of the persona both the artist and management developed?

You've never heard an artist say Dame jerked them on their contracts. His dealings with his artists were fair. Not like the bloodsucking that goes on by others in a management position. And to answer your question, if the management team created that persona then yes they deserve a percentage, but labels today only sign artists with an already established buzz. In that case, no they should not receive a percentage of the money that that artist makes off of anything outside of their recording contract.

The simple answer is no. If management brokers the deal like an agent would , then yes. You can't just sign up to get 10%of someone image and say I had an hand in this person's future deals no matter what. That broad stroke shit is insane and only the devil or his advocate would think that's OK.
