Again, Rockets were not going to win shit with the lineup constructed with Lin, Parsons and Asik. I've watched 2 full seasons of them dudes play to see that. The regular season is fools gold, look at how them niggas played in the 2 playoffs years :smh:. That "chemistry" you speak of would not get them a title, the couldn't get out of the first round. They had great chance to do it against the Thunder with Westbrook out, and thy should have beaten the Blazers. As much as McHale is to blame, the roster had major flaws/weaknesses.

Morey got some work to do so I understand why he didn't match Parsons and got rid of Lin & Asik. Dwight can opt out in 2 years so Morey has to put a better roster together that will keep dude here. If Bosh was here we wouldn't be having this discussion about getting rid of Lin & Asik. Bosh threw a monkey wrench in the plans so now Morey gotta scramble to make new moves. His moves might not work but don't tell me that matching Parsons for that ridiculous price and keeping Lin/Asik is what they should have done :smh:

Llano you make valid points....but you aren t addressing the fact that you lost 3 players and received basically nothing in return......when if he would have just waited he may have been able to get something in the trade deadline.....

morey was desperate and the NBA fleeced the rockets.

Dallas vs Houston rivalry got a little bit hotter now. Yall got a good squad but yall gonna be giving up a lot of points with that starting 5.

Yeah we asking a lot of Tyson Chandler

Niggas been trying to sell me on the size of our front court but you have a guy in Dirk who never was a quality defender only a willing one is now 36 years old and slowed down

The you have Parsons who they trying to sell as a good defender but I keep hearing about him getting cooked

Backcourt is undersized and the backups undersized too

Niggas say I'm crazy when I say we should have signed Deng for the 10 mill a year as opposed to the Parsons for 15 mill a year but I stand by that

If I'm wrong I'm wrong

We'd still have cap space and another defender in the starting lineup, who can score too and had Allstar pedigree

Something Parsons nor Ariza have

Man this Houston v Dallas rivalry is gone be IGNORANT this year. Check these lineups:

Howard v Chandler
Dirk v TJones
Parsons v Ariza
Harden v Ellis
Beverly v Felton

advantages n disadvantages for both teams.... Wowsers

I don't think Felton will be starting.

Don't know if you saw my post about what free agents are left but Houston can still updrade and the PG or even get some fire power off the bench in Mo Williams, Jameer Nelsom, or Jordan Crawford.

fam i 100 percent agree with you but parsons will try on defense, the thing that pisses me off about harden is that he is like a beast on offense that step back his euro step is sick..but on defense this dude seriously will wait for the other team to score so he can get the ball back he does not even try...:smh::smh:at least try

Shit it was a 2-2 split last season

I went to the game out here where Marion hit the game winner

I'm just hoping we don't trick off as many games as we did last year

It was pathetic

Shabazz Napier shit the bed again tonight. Gave us 2-8 from the field. More turnovers than assist, and "fouled out" in a summer league game.

But he got time to delete Bron tweets and shit.

Harden probably hasn't had a coach in his entire life that made him play defense

That's the issue

He can do it at least at a decent level, he is athletic

Nobody has demanded it of him

Parsons really smelling his own piss right about now. If he was really a 3rd star like he claims to be, he would still be in a Rockets uniform. Oh well, all the best to dude but he needs to realize he ain't an all-star level player and probably never will be.

Someone should show him some tape of the Rockets vs Blazers series...

You guys will be ok this year man. Dirk has show all he needs is some help and he can get it done.

Stan Van Gundy fires back at Cavaliers owner after he says Pistons should remove ‘Detroit’ from their name
Brett Pollakoff May 24, 2014, 3:30 PM EDT

San Van Gundy
Unless you’re a Pistons fan, the best part of having Stan Van Gundy back in the league as the team’s president of basketball operations and head coach is the unabashed way in which he gives his opinions.
Van Gundy fired back at Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert, who said in a recent interview that the Pistons should remove “Detroit” from their name because the team actually plays its home games in Auburn Hills.
“Detroit doesn’t have an NBA team, because they’re somewhere 30 miles north of here, right? They’re in Auburn Hills, right?” Gilbert said on “Mojo In The Morning” on 95.5 FM, via 6abc.com (and HoopsHype).

This aggression will not stand, man.
“Dan Gilbert has some selfish interests for saying what he said,” Van Gundy said on 105.1 FM in Detroit. “I think we know what those are. Finally I think he has enough to worry about with his own team than worrying about us.”

Van Gundy’s remarks about “selfish interests” may have to do with Gilbert having invested millions in downtown Detroit. Gilbert also has spoken to Pistons owner Tom Gores “four or five times at the owners meetings,” where he’s brought up the topic about a downtown move, according to The Detroit News. …

“Tom Gores has been involved in the city of Detroit, not just the surrounding area,” Van Gundy said. “There are teams all over the place that carry the name of the city but represent an entire area. Where we play isn’t that much relevance.”

The moral of this little back and forth is simple: Van Gundy has returned, so any slights — perceived or otherwise — will not go unnoticed, or be allowed to slip by without a biting response.
I couldn't imagine the NBA allowing the move, but I'd love to see the dumbasses Cleveland fans befuddled, wondering if they should burn suits to express their feelings about Gilbert.

So you have chosen your team to troll this year I see

Yeah I was looking for that squad. Its gonna be the Rockets. It ain't hateful like the Heat but shit man this the best I can do.

Houston fans cool and all but I just realized I don't like none of the Rockets players.

Report: New Dallas Maverick Chandler Parsons 'offended' Rockets didn't think higher of him

http://www.dallasnews.com/sports/da...fended-rockets-didn-t-think-higher-of-him.ece

"Honestly, I was offended by the whole process," Parsons told Yahoo Sports on Monday. "They publicly said that they were going out looking for a third star when I thought they had one right in front of them. I guess that's just how they viewed me as a player. I don't think I've scratched the surface of where I can be as a player and I think I'm ready for that role.

This kind of what I wondered too. Not that he's a "third star" or nothing but you were going for Melo when you already got a 3? The Bosh sense made more sense. But there was no need for Melo.

Going after Melo was simply thirsty star chasing

Rockets did not need him at all

Bosh? I agree he was needed and would have been great on that team

Melo played the stretch 4 a lot
In NYC and he's strong enough/big enough to do it and be successful. He was going to be on the court a lot with Melo playing the 3 and Melo at the 4.

And you're right there was no need for Melo, but if u have a chance to land one of the top 5 players in the league you at least kick the tires.

Player 2

PPG 16.6

FG% .472
3FG% .370
PER 15.9

Player 1 held shooting guards to a PER of 12.1, small forwards to 15.6 and power forwards to 12.1 last season

Player 2 held shooting guards to a PER of 17.9, 14.6 to small forwards and 18.1 to power forwards last season.

Player 1 makes twice as much money per year as Player 2

To be fair player 2 could've been had by his former team for 900k, maybe even been used as Rondo trade bait

But that's none of my business

Man I really want the Mavs to figure out a sign and trade scenario for Stevenson.

We have him on that starting 5, then it would be well rounded.

What have me scratching my head is the fact that Houston did not go after Pau? I mean, I would of had that in my back pocket just in case Bosh acts like the bitch he is.

And if there was no trade available player 2 still would have been offended by his team and walked at year's end.

If we got Deng for that 10 mill a year we could probably do something like dump Felton or Wright and had room for Lance

No way he gets the deal we gave him as an unrestricted guy

I think Miami is going to get Lance.

Still, we have draft picks now, and we can give away someone so it can even out.

That starting line up would be perfect with stevenson at the 2, and roll monte as a 6 man. Hell, start Monte at the point.

Did u forget what Gordon Hayward just got paid? $16 mil per year?

Dude full of shit talking about Dallas showed interest to him off top and they didn't go out looking for other stars.

So I guess he forgot Melo went there after leaving Houston. And Morey said on Sports Radio 610 "we would have paid Parsons $100 million dollars IF we landed Chris Bosh."

Man Hayward was a RFA too neither one of those CACs would get those deal as unrestricted free agents

More like 10-12 mill a year

You just have to highball the offer hoping the other team doesn't match

You know how restricted free agency goes

The players always end up getting overpaid

Roy Hibbert is another recent example

Pooh
Jimmy
Snell
Pau
Noah

DMac aka baby bird
Niko aka baby dirk
Gibson
Kirk
Dunleavy
Barstow aka our Steve Adams goon white boy

We smashing everybody

A person's value is what someone else is willing to pay them.

We can say "oh they're RFA's they're trying to screw the other team....." and I get that.....but still it's what u offered to pay him.
