~*~2014 NBA OffSeason Thread - Free Agency Starts - 7/1 12am ~*~

McRob avg 13pt and 9 Rebs in the first round

Those numbers coming off the bench is huge... U niggas up here down playing it like he trash status

Dude was good for Indy when they had him, lakers ain't use him right, went to the bobcats and has been solid for them

I don't see the prob

That's assuming he'll even play enough minutes to average 13pts and 9 rebounds

and as of right now, he's going to be the starter for the heat because who else do they have or going to have to play along side bosh? especially if gasol goes out the window...

it's not a splash move imo.

lebron made it clear he wants a splash.

I believe it has been asked before but as things heat up (no pun intended) - WHY can't Miami attempt to sign Melo for a Max deal - send Bosh on his way by just not offering him a deal and then say to Lebron here is the new Big Three and your Max deal and then give Wade the league minimum and a bag of balls?

Seriously though - you opt out there is no longer a contractual arrangement - THEY dont have to sign Bosh - Melo knows if he signs Lebron will come running? Tradeologist and Capologist - I need your expert answer on this - Thanks
Bosh meant more to the club than y'all think...

Bosh ain't the best center but he probably one of the best pf/c guys in the league.

Why not get rid of Wade's big contract and have James, Melo and Bosh as the big three?
Why this, why that....man we don't know what the fuck James gonna do, maybe he's still undecided!!!

Seem like Bosh is more Miami than James and Wade

Bosh was the first to comment on a reduction...
Bosh was the first to sign in 2010...
Bosh willing to take a pay cut in Miami to play with Lebron...
Dude skills were put on the back burner for the good of others...
Miami understands who Bosh is and know he's able to produce at a high level if need be...

So tell me exactly what Riley could've done to make u happy?

Happy? Riley's moves have made me :D and
But seriously, his hands are tied by a cheap Jew and Wade. What can he do? He could have planned for this shit years ago. But who knew Wade's body would betray him at 32?

You a little too confident fam don't set yourself up like this

You a little too confident fam don't set yourself up like this

On the humble, Wade MAY be the reason he chooses to leave, IF he leaves...

It's obvious Wade is a problem, especially financially. He will command too much of their cap space, he is no longer an elite performer, except in his mind, and maybe LeBron doesn't want to be tied to that shit again.

It's obvious he's faded because, unlike Bosh no other team has come knocking... :smh:

This is it for me fam.... Most excitement I get as a sports fan up here. I can take the letdown because I wasn't even expecting any of this.

Hell, I'm still  off that Wiggins pick. Cavs dodged a bullet with that Embiid injury. How much luck can I expect??????

Keep saying his inner circle don't matter enough times I guess you will start believing it.

2014 and 2010 are different years. His legacy in Miami is set, 4 years, 4 finals, 2 chips, one of the most successful runs ever.

Now, with the chance to erase that one real stain on his legacy, I wouldn't bet against him taking the chance to do just that.

The league wants it, everybody who is not a Heat fan wants it, and most importantly I believe LeBron is the type of Dude who wants to be loved and adored, not just respected.

Best believe, if his wife is in his ear, he's out. He has no ties to Miami, but the chance to rejuvenate his home area, and a real hero, to people who were there for him and with him before he became the 'King', not a bunch of bandwagon fans, I'm not so sure it won't happen. He definitely has a greater connection to those people than any all of a sudden 4 years ago fans, and that love for his 'people' would far outweigh his Gilbert issues, believe that...

Everybody talking about what he is and isn't going to do, and what he would and wouldn't do as if it is gospel is fooling themselves, and don't know shit. Most of that shit is to make them feel better, mask their paranoid which is cool, I guess..

No one knows what he's going to do, but Cleveland is a very real threat to end the run of the Big 3 (even though D Wades knees have already put in work in that regard), and the sun may just be about to set on the Heat as we know it...
:hmm:

Cleveland is an outside chance at best. you really don't understand LeBron the person if you think he's just going to forgive that shit the owner pulled. that letter was damning and the organization is ass, already shown it doesn't make quality moves. Bennett? lol. that team isn't going anywhere with LeBron. and the city of Cleveland is a shitty place to live. nobody in their late twenties are hungry to leave Miami to chill in Cleveland. wishful thinking

hes holding out to demand moves from the heat. im sure the heat will oblige and pay him max. if they don't, then the sweepstakes begin.

bosh is interesting. Miami is going to lowball him and test his loyalty. I don't blame him for leaving for a max deal in Houston. if he leaves, mia is going to pick up a gasol or melo. gasol is itching to leave. mia gives him ring opportunity, hot city, and a decent pay with no state tax.

wade staying on and taking a cut. he know whats up.

All I'm saying is the Miamj Heat have under contracts are

Roster
Norris Cole
Justin Hamilton

July 10, free agents can sign
Danny Granger
Josh McRoberts

So that leave 11 spots...and a trade exception...

Say 6 go to
James
Bosh
Wade
Allen
Haslem
Birdman

Riley have five spots to make something happen...

(I'll be down with bringing Rashard and Beasley back, unless Ennis and Hamilton make the roster)

The final three spots should be

Pg/Sg/C...

lebron made it clear he wants a splash.

I'm assuming he's not the starter until free agency signings are over I mean who in the league made a splash move? No one

Let's wait and see

if anything, wouldn't his inner circle want a max deal?

im not sure what his inner circle wants; im not sure what lbj wants; but i do know for a fact whats being reported in the media isnt the truth, it never is!!!! The truth only comes (in sports) when either its about to happen and/or it already has happen...all these guys are doing is getting you, me, and everyone else to talk about shit; entertainment...whether you agree or dont agree with the signings, how many of us knew the heat would sign josh and granger?? How many of you knew the magic would overpay for frye?? These writers are just speculating like we are...

P.s. This is just a thought but lets say that what was reported of lbj and wade working out together, having dinner, and then going to marque(banging club by the way) last night was true, you guys really believe lbj would be leaving and wade not know?? And wade just chillin with him like that??...naw i still dont believe james is going anywhere...

I mean its been open.
3 years over the luxury tax, facing the repeater tax.
If it's the difference between him staying and going, arison will do it.

You told me you'll pay the tax, for a championship team,
First chance he had, he cut back(amnesty Mike Miller and traded Joel for cap relief)

If it brings a gasol or a dang he'll do it.

He ain't doing it for Joel Anthony.

If that's the case, they would have signed one of them by now. Gasol would have signed if they offered him 12 mil a season. If he was willing to spend, that deal would be done by now.

why would gasol go to a team without LeBron? hes only signing with a contender.

riley needs verbal agreements to set this all up. deals made on contigents if player a stays and player b leaves. takes in all the info he has and relays to LeBron.

Bosh is the bastard step child of the Heat :smh:

Who the fuck wants Chalmers :hmm:

I hope they don't go to the meeting tomorrow and pitch that as one of the ideas of improving the team.

See what we're going to do is do sign and trades with Beasley and Chalmers

Lebron might slap Riley and Arison and walk out
