~*~2014 NBA OffSeason Thread - Free Agency Starts - 7/1 12am ~*~

Yep. So do I.

The sad thing about this is, I can see Lebron doing.

Of course, ignorant people will consider it some coon shit...

...but I've seen this dude long enough to know Lebron is not one for forgetting where he came from. That's just in general.

It was clear he was hurt by what happened w/ the fans in Cleveland. I could be wrong - GOD KNOWS I HOPE I AM - but he seems to be the type to want to make things right.

Let's be honest: Lebron said about two seasons ago that he'd consider going back to Cleveland. That spoke volumes to me...

..but, I thought Miami would run off so many chips, that if he did go, it'd be as an almost retired player.

I don't see Bron leaving Miami. Thing I see is Miami not having anything to put around him.

Cleveland seems to be real his agent pushing for Cleveland is nothing new the first week after hiring him he said he could see Bron going back.

Cleveland can create space to land Bron. The 130 million isn't the big deal

Break it down LeBron will do what Dwight did. Sign a four year deal for 90 plus million with opt out option in year two. Then when he opts out he can sign for a five year 130 deal because Cleveland will now have obtain his bird rights

So Bron isn't really losing money

Because he has one more max contract in him. Players like Bosh Melo don't have that luxury.

Reason why deron stayed in bk this was his first and last 100 million contract

Killa,

It goes back to what you said before. Riley knew this offseason would be coming for 4 years and did 0.00% planning for it. That opened the door just a crack and Cleveland is trying to slip in.

If Riley had his shit together, i think it's no question LeBron goes back to the Heat. But to be this unprepared?

Riley better pull something out of his hat in the next day or it might be over.

...it canNOT be argued that dude trashed Lebron on his way out of the door in a way that arguably no other than has ever done a player. Definitely not a megastar like Lebron.

This is what it comes down to right here. There was never anything like the 'decision' before. There was never anything like the 'letter' before. I don't think we will see either ever repeated by any other player or owner. Both were mistakes. Lebron and Gilbert can easily reconcile and move forward.

This is the perfect time for Lebron to come back to northeast Ohio. Young talent and an owner who will spend more than any other owner besides the Russian.

"The Decision" ain't what set Gilbert off.

It was having done all he did for Lebron, and he still chose another team.

"The Decision" may have added insult to injury on some, 'You did ALL OF THAT, just to tell me you weren't coming back? :hmm: ......First off, Fuck yo' bitch and the clique you claim ............"

It was the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back. No special, no letter. And no Jesse Jackson horseshit trying to make this something it wasn't.

The haters are circling and getting to rejoice if LeBron leaves. I don't think he's leaving but if he does, oh well

if Bosh goes to Houston......then i think its in Lebron's best interest to go back to Cleveland.
tag team with Irving as well as mentor Wiggins & Bennett.....3 more picks next year.
they are on the up and up......and definitely move to the top of the East next season.
Pat Riley been bullshittin as of late.

A lot of guys ranting about what Gilbert did and how upset. They are, but with what appears to be in motion and LeBron agreeing to meet face to face with Gilbert, obviously he's prepared to bury the hatchet and doesn't share the same overly emotional views! Good for him for thinking for himself IMO!

Or he wants to get his cracker ass riled up again. See how many hoops he'll jump through.

Lebron can leave, but I just don't want to see that man back in Cleveland.

So question when LeBron was in Cleveland and Miami was an option were you a hater for wanting LeBron to leave and join your squad.

I don't think he leaves the thing is this where is the help coming from. Again where is this plan to add players

I'm saying all this in Riley I trust is bs cause what has he done in the last 4 years

If LeBron goes to Cleveland, Bennett is as good as gone.

@WojYahooNBA: Houston's natural landing spot for Bosh: Can play PF next to Dwight Howard, make $20M-plus and return to home state w/ a title contender.

Now the rockets starting to make some sense.

Go get bosh he goes perfect with what we trying to do here....

Killa talk to us do you believe with Houston being a major player for bosh and how SAS believes it's actually bosh holding everyone up that if he leaves the Heat going right after Melo to put next to Bron?

Bosh will leave if Lebron leave...Bosh waiting on Bron's choice

if james goes back to cleveland, which i still cant believe is gonna happen, would bosh follow??? What about other free agents outside of allen??? But i do feel like this shit is being reported just to keep every one talking about the nba for the summer; i think james still resigns with miami...

Various reports say James will give serious consideration to returning to the Cavs, who he met with Sunday in south Florida. James is traveling today to Las Vegas, and a source who has been briefed on James’ free agency maneuverings told SheridanHoops that James’ inner circle, from his wife, Savannah to his agent, Rich Paul, to his best friends, Maverick Carter and Randy Mims, are unanimous in their belief that James’ best move is a return to the team he played for from 2003-2010.

Looks like his team is pushing him to go to C town

Anderson Varejao $9,704,545 (only 4 million guaranteed no guarantee date)
Kyrie Irving $7,070,730
Jarrett Jack $6,300,000
Anthony Bennett $5,563,920
Tristan Thompson $5,138,430
Andrew Wiggins (unsigned 1st) $4,592,200 (+20%)
Dion Waiters $4,062,000
Tyler Zeller $1,703,760
Sergey Karasev $1,533,840
Scotty Hopson $1,450,878
Carrick Felix $816,482
Matt Dellavedova $816,482

If they waive Varejao, Hopson, Felix and Dellavedova, + 3 empty cap holds, and renounce their FA's they are roughly at 42 million. Enough to sign lebron.

They also have many assets for a Love trade.

Thompson
Waiters
Bennett
Varejao actually (for kevin martin) Minny cuts varejao and saves money this year and 2 years of martin future salary.

i don't know man i'm thinking otherwise

i think if bosh leaves bron stay and melo go to the heat.

Makes sense

i think bosh wants to play with lebron and for the most part everybody in the nba does as well...i think if miami owner is willing to go to luxury tax and/or over then we nor anybody else is having a discussion about lebron leaving miami; i think lebron is about championship as much as he is about money; no matter where he plays he will always get money, but one cant say he will get championships; the owner of the heat is the key...

Is it for their benefit or his? That's the question cause immediately after the decision they wanted him to go back

Cleveland trying to pull some power moves. Would be FUCKED up if:

1. LeBron setting the city of Cleveland up for failure once again. Get them all worked up then tell them to kick rocks...

2. They taking their time to force bosh out. Everybody waits, bosh see he can get money plus contend elsewhere so he leaves. Then Wade James and Melo all sign with Miami. Dude seems like an outcast.... They the big 3 but 2 ALWAYS do post game interviews together? I don't think they like that weirdo so the giving him the cold shoulder to get him out and get Melo in.
