Report: LeBron's agent pushing for Cleveland
LeBron James' agent is pushing for his client to return to Cleveland, according to Yahoo! Sports.
Here we go. "[Rich Paul] has confided to people that bringing back James to Cleveland has been something of a mission for him, and he's encouraging Cavaliers officials to offer no restraint in the recruitment of James," the report added. ESPN filed a report earlier this morning that LeBron is "legitimately listening" to the Cavs, so this Yahoo! report holds a little more weight. LeBron will meet with Pa Riley in the next few days, which will get just a bit of press after that goes down. To be clear, it doesn't sound like he's even close to making a decision.

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports details how LeBron James' agent, Rich Paul, has given the Cleveland Cavaliers hope of landing the superstar:

At the urging of LeBron James' agent, the Cleveland Cavaliers are pursuing a maximum contract salary slot to bring back the free-agent superstar, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Rich Paul, the president of Klutch Sports, has been funneling belief into the organization that the Cavaliers are in strong position to lure James from the Miami Heat, sources told Yahoo Sports.

For years, Paul has confided to people that bringing back James to Cleveland has been something of a mission for him, and he's encouraging Cavaliers officials to offer no restraint in the recruitment of James, sources said.

Brian Windhorst and Marc Stein of ESPN.com reported earlier that the Cleveland Cavaliers feel they have a real shot to land LeBron James this summer

Don't do it Bron :smh:

He better not...:smh:

I hope he leaves so I can see all the dickriders exposed who have been talking this Miami Heat shit the past four years.

You'll find out who the real Miami fans are.

Those who ride for their "team"

I don't think it happens but Lebron going back to Cleveland is the biggest sports story in recent history. It would melt the internet.

 It's going to be an E militant onslaught. The same cats who clowned Cleveland and Cleveland fans for being  will be all  The fucking irony of it all.

You better hope he ain't stringing you niggas along.. But I guess u cool with him coming back despite the pos owner you have who just today took down that slave letter he wrote.. But u all for it huh? U the type of ninja that would continue to work for a cac who called u the n work to your face huh?

Bron can go anywhere he wants but to go back to a team who's owner publicially shitted on him is atrocious and u co signing as a black man is telling..

This is a childhood friend, confidant and someone LeBron trusts with his career and livelihood. I believe his influence on LeBron may be a lot stronger than any relationships he's developed after only 4 years in Miami. Also, I believe there is more to the story than just Gilberts rants, maybe some broken promises or something on LeBrons part that he wants to make right. All that being said, his silence, the fact he is even considering a meeting with Cleveland, the real nice pieces they have and the brighter future they have as an organization with their younger core and future draft picks all point to them as a SERIOUS thread to the demise of the Big 3.

they can have enough space to offer Lebron a max, if they move Jarret Jack,....
which is what they are presuming to do in the coming days.

Ok but the heat have a cap hold of 20 for Lebron already and will Bron look to give him 3-5 more when he resigns

I'm really starting to believe this LeBron back to Cleveland stuff is going to happen. At first I just thought it was nonsense. One thing you can't underestimate is the lure of being home. Miami will never be home for LeBron or his family.

His wife was so happy to be going back to Akron and leaving Miami for the summer.

And Riley basically questioning LeBron's guts is not far off from Gilbert's letter.

Stop with the horseshit. Wasn't a slave letter. That's some straight up bean pie horseshit. It was a pissed owner who had paid over the luxury tax and gave the player the run of the team. It was an owner who knew that Lebron NOT COMMITTING made some moves impossible. It was an owner who had to hear about that dumb ass "decision" special(which everyone agrees was a bad idea).

So Lebron is supposed to go back to the CAC Mick who cut spending and avoided the luxury tax only to make Lebron look bad? He supposed to go back after the CAC Pat Riley basically called him a coward and told him to take a pay cut for the billionaire CAC Jew?

You cats kill me with the selective E militant shit.

This shit is going to be hilarious. Now Lebron and any of his fans are going to be called coons or toms by tough-guy E militants.

I have to agree with this. Gilbert catered to and gave LeBron way more than the Heat's owner ever did.

There's more money long term with Cleveland than with Miami. LeBron sees how MJ continues to rack in bank even now, and I think he sees the clearer path to that is to go home, save a franchise, build something on his own, and be revered as the superstar who came home! He has his chips now so the pressure is off. Who would anyone want to play for, a team with stud young pieces and the promise of more with draft picks in the future or an aging team that he has to carry who has already collapsed around him once. And is in flux every year trying to add a. Bunch of used parts! Cleveland is clearly the better fit for him going forward on every level. The key is how him and Gilbert handle this reconciliation but if done right he will be a 100 times bigger star than he is now!

Big difference is Mickey ain't call Bron no coward or quitter and didn't have Cleveland fans biting jerseys and shit

But I will let u tell it

The ffact that Gilbert who was so strongly upset about LeBron took the letter down all but proves that LeBron's childhood friend and agent has set things in motion. Then the fact that he has urged them to create room is really a great sign that LeBron is coming home. He is handling this the right way, letting those he pays to do a job do their jobs. There will be no Decision fiasco this time around. Just a great closaure to a bad situation. He is really showing a great deal of maturity this time and Pat Rileys post finals rant probably showed his Rileys true colors. You give your life to an organization, lead them to 4 finals and 2 chips only to have your GM say some stupid shit like that?! LeBron whole flow changed after that... Nail in the coffin man, nail in the coffin :smh:

I am no one's e-militant. My sig totally disqualifies me.

However...

...even if you want to argue the root of Gilbert's anger wasn't a rich white owner feeling like his best 'buck' got away...

...it canNOT be argued that dude trashed Lebron on his way out of the door in a way that arguably no other than has ever done a player. Definitely not a megastar like Lebron.

Fuck the race angle...

...that ALONE is enough to flip the bird to Cleveland. Fuck that bullshit.

Basketball is basketball, and I want that nigga to lose every year...

...but, it's impossible for me to not feel, to some degree, this was white man having to face the reality that he didn't have the control he thought he did, and threw a public tantrum about it.

Because I can't shake that theory, as a black man, I can't agree with Lebron going back to Cleveland.

I'd rather Lebron win every fucking year, than for him to go back to Cleveland.

That should tell you how much I am against him returning to Gilbert.

Fuck them.

A lot of guys ranting about what Gilbert did and how upset. They are, but with what appears to be in motion and LeBron agreeing to meet face to face with Gilbert, obviously he's prepared to bury the hatchet and doesn't share the same overly emotional views! Good for him for thinking for himself IMO!

I don't see Bron leaving Miami. Thing I see is Miami not having anything to put around him.

Cleveland seems to be real his agent pushing for Cleveland is nothing new the first week after hiring him he said he could see Bron going back.

Cleveland can create space to land Bron. The 130 million isn't the big deal

Break it down LeBron will do what Dwight did. Sign a four year deal for 90 plus million with opt out option in year two. Then when he opts out he can sign for a five year 130 deal because Cleveland will now have obtain his bird rights

So Bron isn't really losing money

Because he has one more max contract in him. Players like Bosh Melo don't have that luxury.

Reason why deron stayed in bk this was his first and last 100 million contract

The sad thing about this is, I can see Lebron doing it.

Of course, ignorant people will consider it some coon shit...

...but I've seen this dude long enough to know Lebron is not one for forgetting where he came from. That's just in general.

It was clear he was hurt by what happened w/ the fans in Cleveland. I could be wrong - GOD KNOWS I HOPE I AM - but he seems to be the type to want to make things right.

Let's be honest: Lebron said about two seasons ago that he'd consider going back to Cleveland. That spoke volumes to me...

..but, I thought Miami would run off so many chips, that if he did go, it'd be as an almost retired player.
