wow.. I thought that nigga was flopping

:smh:

I remember Spain winning the World Cup in South Africa in many scrappy 1-nil outings.

Argentina have looked to have followed this blueprint. We'll see how this is about to pan out for the Albiceleste.

Biglia starting.

Argetina looks so average to me..but I guess you can be average when you have a player like Messi because he's been delivering. This should be a really good match though.... shit. all the games been good though

That goal illustrates what eewwll's been talking about. Where America needs to be in order to hang with the elite. Dude'a touch was perfect...he turned on a dime and struck that ball like it was no big deal. Incredible.

:yes:I haven't been let down by any matches except for any match involving Greece really. It's been a great tournament.

They've definitely looked mediocre to say the least but they keep winning em, and scrappy like. That's the stuff trophies are made on.

Nice shot from Pepita.

I teach the kids snapshot imagery. Where strikers don't need to look at the goal because it doesn't move.

Take the snapshot, receive the ball, and execute to the photo in your mind.

Works every time.

true

What the hell is going on in this game? Belgium is building up an attack and the refs keep blowing the whistle.

I guess Origi is in form?

Against the US, it was 90 mins of chasin Origi, followed by a slice to the jugular from Romelu.

Maybe Wilmots thinks it would work here as well.

if you have both on at the same time

you're just out of luck and you're conceding a goal there's just no way around it

unless you never play them at the same time

Phew, Messi still hasn't scored on Courtois in like 7 games this past season and year.

I'm shocked Argentina didn't give up a goal after deciding to defend like Italy.

I'm kind of surprised how solid Argentina's defense was. Belgium couldn't get anything going...Hazard was invisible. Lukaku didn't do anything...they barely got a shot on target.

Scrappy but effective must be Argentina's new mantra.

I doubt you'll find a boludo that disagrees.

Yeah, as much as I've been criticizing their defense, they've only given up 3 goals in 5 games.

True, but its a like for like substitution. They like playing Fellaini up high as a second striker, so it'd be difficult to field both.

After Higuain's miss:

Defence had experience.

But I hope for Argentina that they always score the first goal. Cause if di maria can't play anymore. They would have a problem. The coach left gaitan and salvio at home smh
