That's a good pickup. They didn't have any backup bigs last season except for Hollins Big Baby. Hope they can get Deng but maybe they can get Pierce on the cheap. They also need a new backup pg.

Speaking of Deng, he would be a good pickup for the Lakers. Wonder is Kobe still want's to play with Deng.
 
Sources also told the Sun that the Raptors are closing in on on a deal with Greivis Vasquez, a restricted free agent like Patterson, who also was acquired from the Kings. Vasquez will backup newly signed star point guard Kyle Lowry. Toronto Sun
