If you bad you're bad. All you can do is guard your opponent or not guard him.

Melo making teams wait until the 2nd week and July :smh:

Fuck that don't even call that nigga at all

Contact Deng and Lowreys agents the first muthafucking day

Don't get caught up in this bullshit again

The only team that would benefit from that scenario are the Knicks. Unlike the Nets with Deron, the Knicks have the luxury of waiting him out. If the other teams start to panic and throw their money to other players, Melo have to crawl back with a lesser offer than he anticipates.

Yea but best believe some IDIOTS will hault their free agency for Melo. Rockets will be one of them. Sitting there clearing cap space and shit. But I think you right. This deadline benefits the Knicks. Some teams will bail out.

Yeah the Rockets certainly will wait it out

Hopefully after 3 years the Mavs know better by now m

Fuck this shit

Re: ~*~2014 NBA OffSeason Thread - Draft 6/26 ~*~

Naw. I don't think he was going top 5. He was supposed to be a modern version of Tony Kukoc. Tony was just an alright NBA player. I don't know what Dumars was smoking but there was not THAT much hype for Darko. Melo had just lead a team to a national title where he DOMINATED as a freshman. Melo was a no-brainer at the #2 spot and most teams weren't going to take a risk on an unproven euro cat (that they all saw look average in international play) over some real college studs. That draft was deep man.

Co sign

Darko was going late or in the 2nd round

By Dumars taking darko that shit opened up the flood gated for Denver heat Toronto

Evaluations of Darko at the time which by the way sound nothing like Toni Kukoc:
Could actually challenge LeBron for the top pick in the draft. He's that good. Unlike James, he has proven himself against top level competition. There are 2 franchise type talents in this draft. Milicic has as much potential as any European player ever and will likely have no trouble adapting to the NBA.
Scouts, however, view Milicic as the second-best player in the upcoming draft, but his versatility and playing skills aren't a major drop-off from the talent of James. Milicic is 7-0, and weighs 245 pounds. At 17, he's already in his second year of professional basketball in Europe, and that's one advantage he has over James.
Milicic has been all the rave because he can run the floor and jump like few others his size. He's an excellent finisher who can dunk in traffic and shoot a consistent 3-pointer. One scout from the Western Conference, who didn't want to be identified said: "Milicic can be a nightmare for opposing players to defend due to his versatility. He is too quick for most power forwards and too tall for most small forwards to defend in the post."

Milicic is also considered a good passer and a good ball handler, but he needs to improve his strength and add some weight to his thin frame, especially while posting up on the block.
But what do we know about Darko Milicic?

Try this one. He quite possibly is better than James, the Akron, Ohio, prep basketball prodigy who almost certainly will be the first pick in the upcoming NBA draft.

Of course, that's a biased opinion shared by a few NBA scouts and many Yugoslavians playing in the league who have either heard about or seen their 17-year-old countryman.
Perhaps that's why Mavericks Coach Don Nelson flew to Belgrade last summer along with his son, Donn, and watched Milicic play. The private viewing resulted in a two-game suspension by the NBA, but it was a penalty worth paying, said the Nelsons.
"I haven't seen him, no one sees him, but we hear things," said Sacramento Kings forward Peja Stojakovic, a native Yugoslavian. "I've heard very good things. Nothing bad at all. ... From what I know about those leagues, he is playing the very best in Europe against grown men who are 25, 30 and 35 years old.

"LeBron is not doing that. He is playing with people his age. ... Milicic is already a professional. There is a difference (playing in the NBA), but he's been a pro for several years."
Nearly everyone who's seen Milicic in person has come away impressed, some even preaching he should go ahead of LeBron. Only 17, he's already spent two years playing against accomplished veterans in Yugoslavia's highest pro league. He's a 7-footer with huge hands who can shoot from outside, much like Dirk Nowitzki or Pau Gasol. But unlike them, he's also a bruiser with a mean streak. "Offensively, his perimeter skills are similar to Raef LaFrentz," said one scout, "but he's much tougher inside."

What are the Pelican's up to? And how do they make it to the playoffs? I know they didn't have a pick and acquired Asik but can they be a threat to crack the top 8?:dunno:

They must think so since this is the 2nd straight that they've traded their next year's 1rst round pick.

Re: ~*~2014 NBA OffSeason Thread - Draft 6/26 ~*~

Besides what's going on with the Heat 3, Melo, and K-Love there are lesser talents who will make an impact during free agency.

Gortat, Stephenson, Lowlry, P Gasol, Deng and Ariza. It seems that Z-Bo and Rudy Gay are opting in with their current squads so they are off limits. For example don't be shocked to see Deng in a Mavs, Rockets, or Lakers uniform next season. I see Gortat, Ariza, and Stephenson being matched by their current teams. I hope the Bulls plan B is Gasol or even bringing back Deng if Melo does not work out. Lowlry not sure where he will end up.

They trying to wheel and deal...I except something to happen pretty soon.

Teams calling about Anderson, but they ain't trying to give him up like that.
That front court should be lethal...Asik, Unibrow Davis and Anderson...defense, defense with scoring & all kinda scoring...

Dope, I'm ready to see these younger squads advance. They have some pieces to make a run. But finding the right mix/ chemistry is going to take some time. There's some redundancy in that back court, probably could move some people.

Well health is their main problem, that team played hard every nights.

The end of the season injury report looked something like...

Pf - Ryan Anderson
Sg - Eric Gordon
Pg - Jrue Holiday

That's not including the times when, these cats were hurt for a lengthy amount of time:
Sf - Tyere Evans
Pf - Anthony Davis

An agreement in principle on a deal that would send point guard Kyle Lowry from the Toronto Raptors to the Miami Heat is "imminent," a league source with direct knowledge of the negotiations said Friday.

The deal, which will consist of the Raptors signing and trading Lowry in exchange for Heat point guard Norris Cole, cash and a combination of future draft picks

Fuck the NBA if this happens....Its one thing of players link up VIA taking pay cuts....but for professional team to help them is just bad for the sport..

Imagine the steelrs drafting Johnny Manziel only trade him to CLV, and then Patriots trading Darrell Revis to the Browns for a scrub corner and future picks.

I think once the details of the meeting gets back to Riley, shit will start to happen.
Cole is the tradable player because he's the lone player on the roster...

Norris Cole
Shabazz Napier
Future picks
Cash

Is all Miami can offer as a trade, at this point...

Y'all think I'm hating but the NBA is ass. This ain't new. Teams helped out the Lakers like it wasn't shit too. But people just looked at it like the Lakers had a good GM. No teams did dumb shit to keep the Lakers on top.

Its shamefull.....bill simmons maybe a cac and whatever else you can call him but he's right, if this is true it destroys the competitive balance of the NBA. Shit that would allow wade to play 40 games next year. and be healthy all the way through the post season this year.

Yea but teams weren't drafting players the Lakers wanted and the trade with Pau was one sided but they got Mark who maybe a better big in memphis then his brother.....shit since that trade they been to 4 straight playoffs. The Heat with the MEDIUM 3 and Lowry are not finishing less thean 2 in the east meaning the pics Toronto get will nver be greater than 28+

Dawg leave that shit alone...Wade did that this year and what happened. The most one
non-sweep finals ever!!!

Toronto could feel like he's probably going to sign with the Heat anyway, let's get something for him.

Killa we need to address the current cba's sign and trade clause...
