Game Of Thrones: The Sopranos with swords or Dynasty in chainmail?

Ben Mankiewicz (guy on the far right) :smh:

His comments, opinions & observations on the show have gotten worse & worse every damn week. :smh:

Somebody else on BGOL mentioned the same shit about him in this thread a few weeks ago. (But I forget who :dunno:) But I totally see what they meant now.

I like these weekly wrap-ups, but they are much better whenever Ben is NOT included in the convo. (and that girl is on the show instead)

After season 4 finale... this dude Ben says "This whole show is just a comedy about the Starks"... and later on he says: “There's no journey for any of the Lannister kids." (i.e. they don't evolve in a meaningful way)

He does not pay attention from episode to episode. :smh:

I just want him to STFU nowadays. :hmm:
This dude is just irritating.

I can't say much more than I did

something interesting tho that is not spoilerish re: foreshadowing is mance's comment about jon snow never being able to kneel before any man again as a result of being around the wildlings...I wonder if jon snow will fuck around and end up ruling the 7 kingdoms when all is said and done...my $$$ is either on him or daenerys...@ the very least I think he'll end up being king of the north

Oh yeah I forgot you already know whats going to happen:lol:

As far as Jon Snow I have thought that and it seems a lot have thought that but I wonder how that would work since he joined the Nights Watch and taken that vow, I wonder could he ever be able to rule or own land, etc.

Its a TV show and books so I know there are ways around it but G.O.T. has never been traditional in the sense of giving happy, typical Hollywood endings so I don't know.

I know one thing its going to be hard as hell to not spoil this shit for myself in the next 10 months:smh:

I'm finding it harder and harder to not read the books:lol:

it was just a guess...I don't see why he was so quick to broker a deal if he had so much men...either way he done tho

I think he knew his men weren't built for that type of battle, and I think he genuinely was a leader who cared for his men and people so he didn't want them to be slaughtered so he surrendered

Yeah someone mentioned it a couple of weeks ago and it made me more sensitive to it.

He's 50/50 for me. He annoys me sometimes but when he's on point he can keep the conversation a little more focused and has decent questions.

I think he fucks up trying to be funny and sneak in humorous observations that aren't humorous.

Same with that Comic Book Girl chick. I think at times I like her shit, and her history of Westeros was informative and helped me a lot with watching the show but her weekly wrap ups are annoying at hell 70% of the time.

ya just re: major characters up to a certain point...the "lesser" characters and certain details like how many wildlings did mance have are things I don't know

Oh yeah I forgot you already know whats going to happen:lol:

makes sense re: stannis but I mean before stannis arrived he was ready to strike a deal w/ jon

Just because the Hound had some funny scenes about chicken doesn't make up for his past deeds. While yes he was damaged since he was young, he still decided to murder and rob the old dude that took them in and fed them a few episodes back. He was still an asshole, just a more likeable one.

Yeah but the deal he was striking with Jon Snow was for the Nights Watch to surrender, not him. He told him he and his people didn't want to kill anyone so if they surrendered nobody would be harmed but if they didn't and fought he would kill everyone.

He knew they were low on men, supplies, etc. so he was trying to take the wall to get behind it before the White Walkers and Wights came.

I don't think they had any plans to go any further than that. This was about survival for them, not conquering or war.

I don't think anyone had any illusions about the Hound, he was just a great, comedic (although I don't think they intended him to be) character that had some great scenes with Arya.

No one saw the chicken memes coming.

Yo I straight up don't think the writers/showrunners realized how funny that shit really was.

They may have thought it was somewhat comedic but I don't think they intended it to be what it was:lol:

But that shit started last season with the hog when he took out the old man so maybe they did know:lol:

Yea so many stories I can't wait to see. Arya continuing her journey to be The Punisher of Westeros. Ramsay Bolton being more crazy. Maybe getting some clues about Jon Snow's mom. Tyrion out in the world with Varis. Bran learning how to "fly". Stannis going after the throne. The Lannisters led by the Incest Wonder Twins. Hell even Emperor Littlefinger and Darth Sansa. I'm over Daenarys ' story though. Other than Grey Worm trying to at least eat some pussy or her Dragon causing havoc, I really just don't care.

Remember Mance's "army" consists of refugees of free folk from the north. The nights watch is not the objective. They just want to get south of the wall and get as far south as possible because of the wrights and white walkers. They also consist of children, elderly and non soldiers.

Is this really why Bran traveled all that way, left his little brother, didn't hook up with Jon Snow, went thru all the shit they had to go thru? Sacrificed homegirl's brother. Just so he could walk again.

There's got to be more right?? He must becoming the strongest Warg that ever lived. I hope.

The stark bitch is goin north, guy was goin to bravos then the coin came out and north it is.

I will have to watch the scene again but I dont think the ship's captain ever said he was taking Arya north. He said he was going to Bravos. When Arya presented the coin, he gave her passage and a cabin on the ship. I think they are going to Bravos so Arya can link up with Jaqen H'ghar and begin her training under him.

If that happens, Arya in going to be a beast next season.

On another topic, After watching the fight between the Hound and Brienne she is now one of my favorites. She went hard.

Yeah, there has to be more to this. Bran was looking at the small picture. When dude told him he would never be able to walk but be able to fly....that's it. Bran is about to become a game changer.
