I didn't tell no spoilers,I just told him he gotta wait til next season...nothing wrong what I said.....Besides,he the one who asked a question

I hadn't taken you for slow, but you just proved it!

You didnt spoil anything? Grown cartoon character loving ass dude.

You dont see you that you basically told us oberyns daughters are coming back for revenge!?

I dont need your help telling me anything about the future of got!

People in general are just fucking pathetic!

Mf'ers cant keep shit to themselves!

You gotta wait for next season, for that.....
I saw they were casting 3 young women for Oberyn's daughters for season 5...I'm sure they're similar to their dad. I remember him talking about his daughters like he had 8 or 9. Should be good none of the great houses take slights gracefully
it's like a disease

For the record, I don't have a problem with the answer given to the question I posed. Saying that the Martells are coming back for revenge isn't really a spoiler to me. I pretty much assumed that would happen eventually, that's why I asked the question. When was the last (or first) time on this show that one of the great houses was disrespected and they didn't try to get revenge. It's pretty much that plot summary of the show.
Great houses seeking revenge for shit that happened a long time ago. If you haven't figured out that that's what the show is all about by now, then that shit is on you.

And for the record,
(since this thread is damn near 200 pages long and I know people don't bother going back and reading what people posted before a few pages back) I have not read the books yet either. I'm just watching the show for now and waiting for it to be over before I go and pickup the books to fill in the gaps.

What they really look at:

You sure you haven't read the books? Or some wiki articles? Even your question indicates some knowledge of stuff beyond the show

I hate when I watch a serious drama and they have all these happy interviews and pics w/ the actors all laughing together and shit...shit makes me sick to my stomach  I don't wanna see the hound smiling like a bloody idiot...fuck that

If you go to Wikipedia and looks for lists of Characters and Houses you will see spoilers for at 2-3 seasons.

The best thing about Game of Thrones is that even though you know what is going to happen the presentation of it always throws you off some.

The actors do a good job at hiding their impending death. And the directors do a excellent job of throwing the book readers off a bit.

There are houses, characters and mindfucks that haven't even showed up yet.

if not he's made some damn good predictions and paying real close attention

Haven't read the books and I've avoided the wikis like the plague.
I think the emotions that this show bring out of people is just off the charts. I've re-watched every season of the show in the week before the new season debuts. I guarantee you that half of the stuff that the internet goes crazy over as spoilers are things that you could get by just re-watching the show and REALLY paying attention. Everytime I marathon re-watch the show I see new things that went completely over my head the first time.

Are some of the things that people post in here
(you know who you are) 100% bonafide spoilers .... fuck yes. I'm talking about shit like the people who kept posting/bumping cryptic pictures before the Red Wedding. Or trying to be sneaky by talking about characters and/or events that have never been mentioned on the show. That type of bullshit is the spoiler crap that they need to keep over in the book-reader thread. But replying to question by saying that we should be ready for next season. I don't see that as being on the same level in terms of spoilers.

:dunno: IMHO :dunno:

ya I read up on all the characters and although I know the major outcomes of big events...the little things the show does well makes it great to watch...and even knowing the major outcomes doesn't prepare you for seeing it play out before your eyes...ned's beheading...the red wedding...and oberyn's death still fucked me up when I saw them

God damn. You parasites can't control yourselves. You know there is a thread for the book readers.

Show where I said anything.....:smh::smh::smh:]

Question for the book readers. How can Oberyn be a prince when there is only supposed to be one king(in kings landing)? Is Dorn not part of the 7 kingdoms? Does his brother have some sort of treaty that allows him to be called king(i.e. King of the North)?

Yeah same here.

After season 1 I couldn't wait another year to find out what happens to Joffrey's bitch ass so I went and read up on him which led me to reading up on most of the main characters. :smh: Bad idea at first but it scratched that itch.

I still don't know what's going to happen from week to week though. I'm speculating just like everyone else. My only wish is that they'd spend more time on the White Walkers story.

They are but remember that Lord/Lady is basically interchangeable with Prince/Princess as far as titles go in the initial story. Edit.. Have to watch for spoilers!.. Christ.

..Instant Murder Hell..

They are but remember that Lord/Lady is basically interchangeable with Prince/Princess as far as titles go in the initial story. They also style themselves that way because geographically they're isolated from the rest of the kingdoms.

Nah man not this cat....

I know he's read the books but he doesn't spoil anything. Gouki answers questions people ask and he's very careful not to give away too much.

Others may do it but I don't think you give anything away

3 days late but, the sheer strength the Mountain had to muster up to pop his skull like a watermelon had to be crazy!:smh:

Couldn't you say it was a draw? I guess not if he killed him instantly and THEN the mountain died...answered my own question

I also like the scene with Jamie and Tyrion, basically telling the story of their cousin...like why did he smash the beetles, basically Tyrion asking Jamie why are they doing this to me...? What's the point?

Game of Thrones Season 4 Episode 8 'The Mountain and the Viper' Discussion and Review Continued

Well the difference is the actress who plays Danaerys is in her mid twenties or maybe even damn near thirty now while the actress that plays Sansa juuuuuuuuuuust turned eighteen.

Put it this way she's only a year older than the actress who plays Arya. Now imagine how creepy it would be if next year there was a sex scene with Arya and someone on the show.

Arya's short ass is 17
The producers did a great job casting that actress. She still easily passes for a 12 year old. They kinda dropped the ball with her sibling though. You call clearly see the growth in age in the actor that played Bran and the actress that plays Sansa. They both look like they're just shy of 6 ft tall and they're suppose to be like 13-15 years old.

Game of Thrones Season 4 Episode 8 'The Mountain and the Viper' Discussion and Review Continued

Good shit..I saw the 20 something minute running time for the last review and was wondering why they spent such little time on such a major episode

This week's episode is going to be like another blackwater? I'm on the road I'm gonna miss it.

Reading about Trial by Combat these are possible inspirations for GRRM Oberyn vs Mountain fight.

The unrest of 1127-28, when a man called Iron Herman accused Guy of Steenvoorde of killing a count. Both men fought for themselves, and Guy seemed to have the upper hand, at times toying with Herman. After a long combat, Herman lay on the ground, seemingly done for. But when Guy moved to deliver the final blow, Herman grabbed his testicles in one hand and pushed him away with the other. Guy had his "lower parts broken apart," and admitted defeat—and was thus convicted and hanged.

In the 1150s, two nameless champions faced off to resolve a dispute between Stephen of Massy and the monks of Saint-Germain-des-Près. The monks' champion ended the duel by gouging the other man's eye out.

Audition tape for one of Oberyn's daughters below, some chick from the show Lost ?
