Game Of Thrones: The Sopranos with swords or Dynasty in chainmail?

Sansa came out dressed in all black... got rid of her red hair... dyed it black instead. :smh:

I was like... OK I've had just about enough of this broad.
She needs to be written out of the script. For good.

Not interested in her storyline anymore in season 5. :smh:
She just succumbs to whoever putting a roof over her head.

No backbone. At all. :smh:

Meanwhile her younger sister Arya is outside hiking thru the wilderness and killing wild animals & grown-ass men with her bare hands... while cussing out EVERYBODY... pulling weapons on vigilantes .. shanking niggas... and giving out 'buck-fifties'... and got one of the MOST dangerous men in Westeros as her personal Bodyguard / Tour Guide........... like its nothing.

They need to get rid of Sansa imo.
Just give all her 'screen time' to Arya & Missandei, next season.

Just saying.

My brother you are tripping. First we saw her lie on the stand for Petyr. Then she comes out in the medieval version of a freakem dress and died her damn hair. She has transformed and I am looking forward to seeing what happens. Her so called husband has now been condemned to death. If he dies then she is free again and then the plot thickens. I am definitely intrigued

Since BOTH the Mountain AND Oberyn died... doesn't Tyrion get a pass? :dunno:

Or is it because (technically) Oberyn died a few seconds earlier... that Tyrion gets sentenced to death? :dunno:

Who studied "Trial by Combat" Law at Westeros College?

Can Tyrion appeal this shit, or what?

Help a brutha out.

I see people are arguing over the definition of spoilers .... again :smh:
So as long as we're still in an arguing mood, let me pour some gasoline in here

On one hand ....
In the books, Khalessi is suppose to be like 14, but on the show she's played by an actress who is over 18 and no one threw a fit during her nude scenes. In fact, people were/are pissed that the actress isn't going to appear nude anymore.

On the other hand ....
In the books Sansa is suppose to be like 14, but on the show she's played by an actress who is over 18 and people seem on edge at the merge suggestion of a sex scene with her and Little Finger. Say what you will about the character, but the actress that walked down those steps wearing all black looks more and more like a young version of Jessica from True Blood.

Same thing I was thinking.

Maybe its who dies first.

Anyway I still expect Tyrion to get a pass somehow anyway so I'm sure both being dead is how Tyrion survives getting beheaded.

Yeah basically.

I think Sansa has now changed in the way that Jamie changed by being with Breyanne.

Littlefinger and his lessons this season, as well as events of the past, have finally sunk in and she's actually starting to apply them. We'll see a completely different Sansa from here on out.

And she's obviously far from dumb like everyone thought. Even if she was going to save Littlefinger she could have just gone along with his lie but she had a whole different way of saving both of them and it was well crafted and even better as a performance.

A season ago she would have told the whole story, including how he was behind killing Joffrey and would have thought that would save her.

Yea i never thought she was unable to learn dumb, just stubborn stick to ideals of how things should be instead of how they actually are dumb.

Sansa bout to pop that p one time garcetti can't even keep his focus. him grinning that evil grin while she was telling that story... he'll die an old man with that look on his face.

pour out a little kool-aid for prince O

when all his teeth flew out after the punch i was like yea that's it.. ain't gonna be no snaggle puss oberyn running around here.

Yeah I just attributed to her age and the fact that the Starks are overly honorable, to a fault, which has fucked them in this war starting with Ned.

Man they talked about how strong The Mountain was but this dude was dying, on his back, and picked Prince Oberyn up off of his back with one hand like he was a piece of paper or some shit.:eek:

shit fucked up my whole night

Yeah, I think she was laughing at the absurdity of it all. And perhaps laughing at The Hound, since his mission had been to take her to the Vale in exchange for payment from Lysa Arryn.

A couple of unrelated questions though.

1. Where the hell is Stannis? I thought he was going to the Wall, per the advice of the Red Witch.

2. Joffrey was Jaime's son. Doesn't it seem odd that Jaime seemingly has no concern about finding out who really murdered him? I know he has to remain disconnected from his children to maintain the Lannister claim to the throne, but you'd think his character would show some inner turmoil about it. Cersei is the only thing on his mind, I guess.

In regards to Jamie...I always got the impression he didn't like the little bastard either lol.

She was the kardashian of westeros. Whole reason she was there was because of the idea of her marrying and becoming a queen to joffrey.. she was wit it when everybody else was like get out of here!

then shit got real and she was stuck.. and had stockholm for a while.. she's going full circle.

those 2 sisters will be dangerous as fuck if they link up. both had hard ass lives in 2 different ways.. Lady s out here using what she got to get you to do what she wants

Lady A ain't no damn lady she a killer so don't push her. revenge is like the sweetest joy next to...well nvm

Man jamie knew that boy had it coming. He knew what time it was. I mean if he fucking Cersi right next to his dead body.. how concerned would he really be?

Jamie is that dude though, kicking it with his brother as much as he has.. Tyrion face though, it went from hell yea to omfg wtf just happened to my life..

then Tywin gonna get up with that evil ass grin.. smh

The plot thickens into what tho?

WTF she gonna do wit herself? Besides become a bed wench.
She don't got no direction. Nor purpose. :smh:

She just lied to keep a roof over her head.
And for what? To what end? What Game is SHE playing?
I'm confused about her (new) motives.

Like I said... if she uses all this 'new found freedom' & 'powers of manipulation' to seek revenge for the Starks... then I'm wit it. All good.

Let's get it popping.

But if her goal is to..... be the Queen of the Vale..... and just lay-up in Baelish's bed, doing freaky shit for NO cotdamn reason... other than to pick his brain for 'quotes' :dunno:

Ahhh.... No Thanks. :smh:

I'd rather see that chic Messendei get her screen time.

I dunno man... Sansa has always annoyed the hell outta me.
I'm just tired of her.

Sansa lied in Season 1, Episode 2... and caused her own DireWolf to get killed, plus got the Butcher's Boy murdered by the Hound... plus whole bunch of other bullshit.

Now in Season 4... tonight she just became........ a BETTER liar... with a different haircut.... plus a new sugar daddy?

Which does what for her? Besides ensure she has a place to sleep indoors?

Ok. Whatever Sansa.

Black hair, or red..... IDGAF anymore about her / or her story :smh:

Maybe its just me. :dunno:

Whatevs. We'll see what happens.

Just not really intrigued by her whole 'personality'. Old, or new.

She's the same 'clueless' chic to me.

(OK granted, she's a little less clueless at the end of this season, but she still got the same fucked up mentality she did in Season 1)

Notice: in Season 1, Ned tells Arya that Sansa HAD to lie and 'take Joffrey's side, even if he is wrong'... if she wanted to be Queen. :hmm:

Now in Season 4.... and Sansa (once again) is taking Lord Baelish's side, even if he is wrong... but this time... not against her direct family.... but against the folks WHO RAISED HER FATHER. :smh: (Why? so she could be Queen of the Vale someday? :dunno:)

To me, she still on that VERY SAME bullshit from Season 1 (i.e. selling out the people closest to her... just to become royalty )

Just swap Prince Joffrey for Lord Baelish.... and there you have it. Same shit. Different city.

I saw the leg sweep by the mountain coming. I just thought it would end with oberyn busting his head open on the ground and that would be it.

And  @ pycelle getting hit with the 'wrap it up, b'.

'Game Of Thrones': Pedro Pascal On That Oberyn Martell Fight Twist

The saying “Valar Morghulis” came true again on Sunday night’s “Game of Thrones,” when Season 4’s most captivating new character – Pedro Pascal’s Prince Oberyn Martell – battled to the death in the arena as Tyrion Lannister’s champion.

Oberyn lived his “GoT” life both fearlessly and loyally, and he took both traits into the ring when he faced off against The Mountain and ended up losing his life.

Pedro too employed those traits in his performance as Oberyn. As a loyal fan of the books and the HBO show, Pedro felt a sense of responsibility to get Oberyn right as he stepped into the Prince’s shoes earlier this season with fearlessness, swaggering into brothel scenes, slicing up a Lannister soldier or two and trading insults with some of King’s Landing’s most feared characters (like at Joffrey’s wedding with Tywin and Cersei). And the passion Pedro put into his performance, combined with his love for the show, made the Oberyn exit that much harder.

“It’s awful. It’s heartbreaking,” Pedro told AccessHollywood.com about Oberyn’s death (which also meant Tyrion was given a death sentence). “I love the character. I fell in love with the character and maybe that helped me play him. The first thing that helped me identify with him was actually a love for him. I found him very delicious. I also found him very, very honorable and very progressive and just an all-around badass, not because he’s a great fighter and because he likes to f*** everything that moves, but because he has morals that I identify with. So it was always very hard for me to kind of like, detach myself from my own heartbreak that the character goes out the way that he goes out.”

Oberyn did get some justice in King’s Landing, justice that came from The Mountain confessing to the murder of his sister, Elia, and her children, in front of the nobles at King’s Landing (as The Mountain smashed Oberyn’s eyes and face in).

“I had this really interesting conversation with Lena Headey when we were on set and we were talking about the character – Oberyn’s journey — and how in the end, he ultimately does hear the words spoken aloud,” Pedro said. “And we talked about the possibility — is there a kind of release? Is there a sort of delivering himself into his own end? I mean, this is very interpretive, but it was just a really interesting and inspiring conversation that I had with her.”

It was last year that Pedro accepted the role of Season 4’s most anticipated new character, and throughout his run as Oberyn, the actor gave an impressive performance that delighted fans and critics.

“It’s very moving for me. It makes me emotional,” Pedro said of the praise he received, so far.

“It was far more important to me to tell the story to its fullest potential,” he continued. “The goal couldn’t be to make everyone happy — I knew that, but I did see the opportunity to play a character as delicious as this. And what makes him delicious to me are not the obvious things. While the obvious things are delightful and so much fun to play, there’s so much more to him and really, that’s what [author] George R.R. Martin and [Executive Producers] David Benioff and Dan Weiss have created. It was just really important to me to fill those shoes and to not miss any of the details. And, of course, nothing is perfect, but if people like him, are seduced by him, are afraid of him, are entertained by him, are on his side – that’s what it’s all about to me, ultimately, in the end. That’s what it’s all about. It’s all about like, satiating somebody’s appetite who loves the show and the book.”

And if there were to be a backstory movie or series, would he want to revisit Oberyn?

“I mean, really, do you have to ask?” Pedro laughed. “Anything to take me out of mourning.”

This summer, Pedro hits The Delacorte Theater stage in Central Park alongside Hamish Linklater and Lily Rabe in “Much Ado About Nothing” (running from June 3-July 6), as part of Shakespeare in the Park.

‘Game of Thrones': Here's Another Way ‘The Princess Bride’ Could Have Ended

“Game of Thrones” has broken our hearts again.

Sunday's episode brought us the trial by combat between the characters in its title, “The Mountain and The Viper.” They staged a thrilling-and-then-depressing battle to decide the fate of Tyrion Lannister.

The Viper, an affectionate nickname for Tyrion's champion, Oberyn Martell, developed an endearing tic this episode. Like “The Princess Bride” swordsman Inigo Montoya, who had a special speech for the Six-Fingered Man who killed his father, Oberyn had some lines he kept repeating to the Mountain.

By the end of the episode, we were all painfully aware of the Mountain's crimes.

“You raped her,” Oberyn said. “You murdered her. You killed her children.”

It was more than a little reminiscent of Inigo's simple, “My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.”

If haven't seen “The Princess Bride,” you might want to watch it soon, to restore the happiness you no doubt lost during Sunday's “Game of Thrones.”

Because the speech thing worked out a lot better for Inigo than it did for Oberyn.

He leveled the mountain, but failed to finish him off. Perhaps he was too insistent on a confession. As he demanded one, the Mountain managed to take him down. He admitted everything as he jammed his thumbs into Oberyn's eyes and smashed his skull. And with that, Tywin Lannister handed down a death sentence for Tyrion.

The episode was kind of a downer, in other words.

It was eventful and entirely pleasing until the final moments: We learned Tyrion and Jaime's idiot cousin wasn't a beetles fan. Daenerys banished Ser Jorah after deciding his skills as a sommelier didn't make up for his past as a spy. Sansa came to Littlefinger's defense, brilliantly. The Stark sisters are on the verge of a reunion. Ramsay Snow lost his bastard status and got a new name. And Tyrion had a brilliant ad lib.

At the sight of the massive Mountain, Oberyn opined: “Size doesn't matter when you're flat on your back.”

Quipped the diminutive Tyrion, “Thank God.”

- and THAT - is why you never bring emotions into a fight...........................................................................................................................................................:smh::smh::smh:

shit fucked up my whole night

All he had to do was give the final blow, but he got too emotional and got careless....

As a person who listens to the books, this scene is better than the book version...

GoodAngelPijp.jpg

This Kill is Angel Eyes Approved!

wtf! Did not see that coming.
So damned classic. I can't believe I only saw the good the bad and the ugly 8 years ago but I refuse to watch a great movie for the first time edited on TNT or TBS
 Lots of people didn't. Most people still watching Game of Thrones like it's every other CLICHED TV series. It's not! Anybody is fair game...no matter how cool or popular they might be to fans.

I will say though, Oberon died way more horribly than he did in the books. Damn, that shit was graphic as fuck when The Mountain squished his head into pulp.

I kind of like it though that I did not see this coming. We get spoiled by the super cliche TV that we watch. This show seems to be foreshadowing and when it is not. they had Jamie Lannister preparing for a fight that never occurred to name one of many. It is disheartening to watch it all play out because you get close to certain characters the way they are written only to watch them die.

there isn't a soul on here who had not yet finished the books who was intruding for the stark clan only to look on in horror as the red wedding ensued.this is my favorite show but damned if it doesn't break my heart. Now there are only two episodes left in season 4 then we have to wait another 9 months.

what the hell will there be to watch after this show is done for season 4? We are short of quality television nowadays. justified is on its last season and we have to wait for that. We have to wait for The Walking Dead. We have to wait for Game of Thrones. Football season can't come fast enough

mountain laid out, could be dead could be alive but he was finished for sure

It would be awesome if she turned into the true puppet master. Taking all of finger's tricks and turning them against him and everyone else. She's the last living Stark, as far as they know.. she's got some juice

It actually was the all r.kelly soundtrack tonight if you think about it..

ole girl in the whore house with the baby being discovered = trapped in the closet.

fat boy thinking his lady dead = i wish

greyworm checkin out ole girl = your body's callin

greyworm apologizing= i don't mean it

friendzonian trying to appeal to khaleesi for forgiveness= i'll never leave

khaleesi kicking out friendzonian= when a woman's fed up

when friendzonian rides away on the horse = heaven i need a hug

Now that Roose Bolton is the Warden of the North, what claim could any of the Starks make to Winterfell at this point?
