This is how the Spurs see it, Heat fans see it that Spo almost fucked up the series by getting schooled by Pops..
Last year Spo was very stubborn with his starting lineup, and despite Battier clearly showing signs of tired legs, he stubbornly left him in the starting lineup thinking his outside shooting would open up lanes for the drivers..
Instead all he did was fire up brick after brink, to the point where the Spurs was able to play both big men at the same time and pack them in the paint, daring Battier to fire up more bricks..
Then on the defensive side, the undersized Battier got abused by the bigger Spur front line causing them to help by sagging in the paint, freeing Green allowing him to break three point records... As soon as they made a few adjustments (something Heat fans feel they should have done from the start) Green was shut down..
This year Heat fans belive Spo wont fuck things up, he's been coaching better than ever, and finally knows how to use his bench to exploit match ups with out hesitating to pull out a player that isn't performing well..

The bottom line is they had OT and the next game to make up for it, and not only did they lose, they got smashed.. So instead of studying that one shot by Ray, they should be scratching their heads wondering why and how they got smashed after the big shot..
BTW didn't the Pacers and half of you guys out there whine all off season how the Pacers should have beaten the Heat if they were to kept Hibbert in the game, during that last sec LeBron game winning layup... Well in that case it turns out the Pacers was really worlds apart from the Heat, in-spite of the series seeming like they were close.

Whites prefer to pull for the Spurs in this scenario. We will be told the Spurs are better along with homecourt, but they will also be treated like underdogs. They have lowkey superstars and are going against LeBron James. Whites by and large dont pull for athletes like LeBron. Too confident, too black. If he was a coon, had a white wife, or wasnt nicknamed royalty they wouldnt invest so much into pulling AGAINST him. LeBron made it cool to pull for the Spurs again. When they were battling against the Lakers all those years, people HATED them, called them boring and old. Put them in a series against Bron and suddenly theyre the "good guys"

The niggas I was in middle school with were Bulls fans. When I came home from college they were Lakers fans. In middle school it was Jordan, in college it was Kobe. The cowboys fans I know are the same ones that became fans when they were winning in the 90s. No ties to the city/state at all.
