Official 2014 NBA Playoffs thread

Westbrooks +/- for the first half has to be atrocious.

bills, discounting layups as if they don't count isn't being honest brother. Nor is it accounting for the out of control 1 on 3 terrible basket attacks he takes and misses.

Your west coast bias is blinding you here. The guy has been horrid tonight thus far.

its just so easy to paint him as the reason like they haven't given up 40 points in the paint

and like the offense doesn't change one bit when he's out

like reggie jackson dishes assists

it's -6 for westbrook. The only one with a positive is Reggie Jackson and he's at +8. I don't know if that means much at this point but it's something pay attention to.

Does Ibaka mean that much to OKC?... their defense looks like mush right now.

And Fisher

I really don't like when Fisher scores.

that's what I was saying i don't know if that really means much

we'll see.

westbrook could easily have 18 points. layups i can live with.

if he was jacking jumpers and jacking up 3's then id' agree with the assessment. layups is what you want him to take, and when he's on the floor with seffalosa collinson and perkins he HAS to.

so we'll see.

yeah... game 1 on the road... actually not that bad...and surely the Spurs won't continue to shoot 61% from the floor

Yeah, but that 61% are layups :smh:

Spurs really haven't started shooting the 3 ball like they usually do. Seems like they are waiting to do that to take OKC heart.

But I agree. They won't continue 61%.

the perimeter isn't the problem, the spurs haven't had wide open looks from the 3, they've been contested. there just is nobody in the lane to stop them after they drive. look how many drives they just take from the 3 from being run off, right to the rim for a layup.. it's ridiculous.

yeah man... surely brooks can come up with something so that the Spurs are forced to take more difficult shots. If this is the way they're going to defend the spurs, they don't stand a chance unless OKC just shoots the lights out.

I think they will. Its all layups and paint points. How can OKC stop it tonight? Its not like guys are lighting it up from downtown. Unless DFish ho ass keep draining open 3s they may get blown the fuck out at the end of the 3rd.

Just saw the danny green commercial. Damn you would think with all the money he makes that he could at least keep his hair lined properly.

That's Pop coaching though. I'm sure he told them to attack and not settle for the 3. The Spurs listens to their coach, but we both know this.

I guess just make them shoot jumpers by lagging off and even still, they'll get to the paint. Then you have to rely on them to play Duncan one on one.

OKC is 6 of 10 from the 3 point line...

Great defensive lineup for OKC.

I'm not surprised the spurs' shooting percentage has dropped. They're an old team (definitely not fresh legs)... unless they continued to get easy layups, it would just not be typical for them to go a full 48 minutes shooting over 60 percent from the field.

Lmao at Pop

Every time the opposing team score 2 baskets in a row that ninja call a time out

Brooks is going to have to rock with this lineup. They are big and clogging the lane a lot more. Got the Spurs taking some wild shots. Park is negated at this point and OKC is scoring, which helps because the Spurs can't run if OKC is scoring.

OKC needs that big lineup in there. As soon as they went small, the layups came again. If I was Brooks I would start that Big lineup in the 4th because they Spurs are scoring too easy right now.

Good quarter by starting OKC lineup. They diminished the lead to a point that the inevitable end quarter run still allowed them a overall gain for the quarter.
