Oklahoma City forward Serge Ibaka is expected to miss the remainder of the 2014 playoffs after suffering a left calf injury during the Thunder’s Game 6 victory over the Clippers on Thursday.

“We are obviously disappointed for Serge, as he is a tremendous competitor, and we know how badly he wants to be on the court with his teammates,” Thunder GM Sam Presti said in a statement. “At this point it is important that our team directs its concentration and energy towards preparation and execution for our upcoming series. As with all teams, our group has confronted different challenges. It is our collective experience that we will call on to ensure that we play to our capabilities.”

Ibaka, 24, averaged 15.1 points, 8.8 rebounds and 2.7 blocks in 32.9 minutes per game in 81 appearances this season. He finished fourth in the 2014 Defensive Player of the Year voting.

LOOK I'M JUST SAYIN pic.twitter.com/5usSETTdM4

I saw Clippers fans tweet the same thing.

Anyway damn.

that means they actually have to play better team defense...they leave that dude to do everything everything when it comes to defense!!!:smh::smh:the white boy is going to get more minutes!!!

Ibaka is their best interior player, defender and their third best player. Behind him, Collison and Steven Adams. That's one shitty ass rotation or Adams, Collison and Perkins.

He's like Drake

Do they use him even remotely close to properly?

I'm not saying they're going to be just fine, hell no.

I'm not gonna say they have no chance now.

SPurs got shooters...they dont depend on easy paint points all the time like the LBJ/HEat.
So Ibaka being out really doest mean too much.
Matters some..but not much.

Spurs in 5-6 vs OKC
Spurs in 5-6 vs Heat

Let the Spurs DYnasty talks begin.

No, but I think it hurts them badly, because Adams and Collison are foul prone.

On a already thin team, that's fifteen less points. You give Durant and Russ 60, but they need 40 more. Jackson, Butler...

and perkins

nobody likes to pass it to perkins tho

They give Perkins charity touches at the beginning of the game

True but adams might be emerging somewhat. Shit, they're not even really thin brooks is just an idiot. maybe they'll let pj3 and lamb who have been on the bench get some time to play..

and we can't say they haven't played all year, they have.. they filled in nicely when westbrook was out.

why not use them and make the spurs go smaller?
