My Prayer to God
Lord, I lift up every one of my relationships to You and ask You to bless them. I pray that each one would be glorifying to You. Help me to choose my friends wisely so I won’t be led astray. Give me discernment and strength to separate myself from anyone who is not a good influence. I release all my relationships to You and pray that Your will be done in each of them.
Dis bitch...
Folks praying to INSTAGRAM now?!
This is what's wrong with society, social media, and the media in general. ....everything is for show, everybody got everything on display.

Like I said, we are hardwired to "Pretend" for appearance over anything else, most iconic black woman walking the planet showing how money and fame and the responsibility to at least "PLAY the part correctly" is all bogus. WE half-ass at every level of the "game".![]()
Damn this shit is 20 pages, I haven't had time to see any of this because I have been at work, off day tomorrow though. I will check then.![]()

Well said sir...WE as a whole, community, better yet failed community in the USA< the ONLY failed community in the USA BTW if we really talking about it yet been here the longest and still can't navigate the system although we have intimate understanding of it. Instead like I'll keep saying, we only care about pretending, keeping it real, kicking the lingo and just being as BASIC BLACK as we can be.
Ohhh and don't give two shits about the plight of any other people but no one griping and marching more than us. That 'WE".

Black people in positions of "power" before and longer than anyone else, BLACK PRESIDENT yet we are the worst in every manner that counts because we want it to be GIVEN to us, EVERYONE else TAKING it but we want it to be given, we deserve it, we still got mofos talking about reparations and shit while every other "color" people are just doing what they gotta do and not concerned with who knows, how much props they are getting or any such thing. In fact folks pretend to be us more than anyone else in the world yet all go back keeping their "system" functioning. What system do we have from top to bottom, rhetorical of course.
E'rybody black ain't "we" or "my people".
I can only relate to who I can relate to.
A lot of these folks some cacs with brown skin

shit i have to applaud you your the first girl i ever heard who dont like beyonce
but the agency on their way it was nice knowing you.............
I was a fan waaaay back in the day "writings on the wall" is still one of my favorite albums...once they kicked those 2 girls out of the group it was the beginning of the end for me...seeing her on punked sealed the deal on what I thought of her as a person...never been to a concert and bought just the first cd
Sadly it don't matter to the SYSTEM how you look at it, the system looks at us all the same regardless of our personal prejudices. Also we again are the only people doing that to our detriment and community and of course not the slightest concern for our youth and future gen in this country, only us. They just have to fend for themselves right...smh
You think the banks giving you that "JEW" hookup rate if you request a loan, do you? Just saying, you that special extra better "black" to them?

Really?
Solange's music >>> Beyonce's music
And that True EP she got out now is awesome.
I was loving DC when they came out. Then the 2nd album and I was jamin'. But that incident made me not like Knowles on sheer principle of how it was played out, and Kelly Rowland always seemed like a puppet to me after that.
After they broke up Beyonce and being solo...seems just so...forced...I can't take it. She got a cut here or there I like - Crazy in Love still make me want to do the dance from the video. But overall I don't get the infatuation. And I got coworkers who give me 'the eye' when I talk about how chick ain't the greatest. I don't get Bey and Jay but the hustle is strong. Whatever. I can't knock the work ethic but I'm not about to sit here and worship the sheep or their wannabe god.
Someone just find out Solange's "why" and keep the memes coming. And for the haters, ain't no one looking for no one's downfall, I just want a creative laugh.
Back in the day banks didn't to give us loans, so we started our own and borrowed from our own, and guess what they came to find us to give us loans. You get respect by starting your own stuff as a group/race. Look at what the Hispanics have done, back in the 90s they didn't have that kind of power or financial power. We used to have it, but we let it go.
Lol...I have upset the beehive...who knew id find y'all on this site
If you don't like me ignore my ass...too bad I can't do the same for the shitty people u worship...my newsfeed is still filled them..but at least this time it's funny![]()
I guess Jay-Z now got 100 problems
you cant possibly think that his joke hasnt been said a billion times before your post![]()
Damn. I guess you think all the others really have great relationships all the time and only black people put on a face for the public about shit that's really none of our business. Have you learned nothing from Bill and Hillary? Sterling and his "wife"? Damn you harsh on Black folks dude. Smh

WHAT THE FUCK?
IS IT SOMETHING IN THE DRINK OR WHAT?
oNE
It's called culture.
What do you call a cup of coffee without water?
There has been a sustained generational effort to wipe culture from Africans in America lest they discover their intrinsic greatness.
No other immigrant group is subject to that.
Artistmonk is just upset right now but CONTEXT MATTERS.
Until African Americans focus on the "African" part, re-discover their history, connect with the past beyond the slave trade, it's going to be a much heavier weight to carry.
A lot of us suffer from PTSD, depression, anxiety etc....
Generational poverty is a grind and it leads to short life spans that re-boot the effort from scratch a lot of times.
There is a lot of things hidden but we are definitely surviving under the boot.
