Westbrook is who he is, IMO... They should have went after Rondo with that Harden trade, and let Rus be who he is at the 2.. He's more Allen Iverson than Chris Paul, and that's what he'll always be comfortable as.

he can be whatever the coach demands of him. imo
without coaching he still was averaging 7 assists a game. and has been getting about that in every game this series
and last too including a couple triple doubles.
everybody is complaining he ain't a point guard and he out there getting triple doubles without being taught how to "be a point guard"

Yea, we'll just have to agree to disagree... I'm not saying he can't feign some type of traditional Point-Guardness, but I really don't think he's comfortable in that role. He's first inclination is to shoot.
IMO, a real PG makes this team damn near unbeatable.
7 game series took a toll on a lot of players. I'm seeing it in the laziness of shooting 3s, they not even running plays. Shooting longs 2s. They just want to go home.
completely disagree with that. He and Durant are the only ones who can really get their own shot. We just saw this team without him in the playoffs last year didn't we? lol
durant had all the shots he wanted. he was scoring 30+ shooting something ridiculous and he had the entire rest of the cast of characters on the team and they got beat up and bounced by the grizzlies.
Yea, we did see it... And they missed his scoring. He's a scorer, no one's trying to take that away from him.
But as far as seeing the floor, controlling the tempo, executing plays, making the correct and accurate pass... That ain't Rus...

Russy wasn't a PG in College or HS, and he isn't one now... You seem to have your mind made up, while ignoring what the facts are... But I'll guess we'll see once he gets from under Scott Brooks...
You mean the facts that he's increased his assists totals every year he's been in the nba? you keep talking about college what about the nba where he is currently playing?
It's not my mind made up, it's what I see. Like i said i was his harshest critic once upon a time...but i had the ability to change my opinion because he did most of the things he needed to do to make that jump.. like cut down on the 3's... get more assists.. things a point guard does. but you seem to keep ignoring that while its staring you in the face.
if they had more weapons i believe he would be a willing passer. if he didn't have to score for the team's sake, i believe he wouldn't mind getting some of his and dishing out 10+ assists a night.
If OKC gets a coach OR Brooks sees the light, Lebron is going to need help. Wade isn't going to cut it as a Robin. Hell, even with Brooks, this squad may brute force its way to a ring. Wow.
