A proven scorer on a mediocre team, Evan Turner was a scorer for the Sixers this season too... now he's not... :hmm:

So, let me get this straight, you sacrifice scoring and shots for the sake of the team, so then what is he if he's not near the rim to rebound... Steve Kerr or Jim Paxson now? Waiting on the perimeter for kick outs and spot up jump shots?! So, say the offense is designed to keep him out of the paint, what is the defense designed to do? If he's not grabbing offensive rebounds there are no defensive rebounds for him to go get?!?!

Yeah, a superstar center who gets less than 7 boards a game... Cool... :rolleyes:
 
look at what they run out of a timeout. a play to get durant a jump shot... when his jumper has been off for 3 games now

nothing to take advantage of the foot speed of the bigs no pick and roll no action towards the basket...

that was a easy bunny jumper durant usually makes but he's off and the coach can't even recognize that.

yes. durant is a jump shooter who doesn't like gritty, in-your-face defensive players like allen.

bottom line:

1. OKC has two big men, perk & ibaka, and neither one of them are worth a fuck in monopoly money.

2. OKC is a jump shooting team... plays from the outside in. they're not winning shit until they get someone who can score consistently on the block.

tell the idiot ass coach to put him on the block and not run plays so that he can get to the jump shot. it's a simple fix that he never runs never tries to exploit. it can be easily exploited but they run what's called.

So you never answered my question. If he's not shooting as much, being kept away from the paint on offense, and how the hell is he not asked to play defense on 4-5's, who is he guarding, PGs?!?! You're argument makes no sense, what is his role then, to stay on the outside on offense AND DEFENSE, not grab any rebounds or defend, just float around?!?! And who the hell is he stopping on defense?!?!

And you keep bringing up fucking Toronto, how the fuck long ago was that? Vince Carter led Toronto to the ECF in what, 2000, so what the hell does the past have to do with 2014?!

Memphis still has controlled the tempo of this game. Memphis isnt slow on defense the pace is controlled they want that.

OKC coaching is lacking plus this a bad matchup for them, Memphis has perimeter defenders and great interior defense.

Memphis also pounds the PAINT....maybe the only team in the playoffs with size and defense to bother MIAMI
