Both those guns were replaced by the m-16 and ak-47 why would I want those over more modern guns?

The M1a was never replaced google the m14 ERB it is credit of some very important kills in AFGHAN. The SKS is way more accurate than the ak (barrel thickness is the key) you said SHTF, to get an ok SHTF (DD, NOVESKE, JPE, ETC) will cost you over 2k for start. Should I go into the glass.

btw, a AR (5.56) is not a battle rifle.

I'm looking at picking up a load of ammo, I have been looking at the Federal Lake City XM193 55 gr.

I sold a lot of my weapons, only kept the SCAR (16S), KSG (because it looked cool), FN TACT (one hell of a pumper), Noveske Barrel pistol, and the big boy (.416). and got the tavor and the le901 (ORB PREDODOR is on order from Larue).

in my opinion, get a assault, then a battle, finally a mid Distance tact driver (300 mag or above)

I am a gun nut (compete and work as a near to mid distance security for several organizations. Saying that I spent (wasted) a lot of money on so called weapons. I learned one thing: SEEK ADVICE FROM QUALIFIED PERSONEL. range time, training, correct weapon for attended use and train again is a must

I've decided that I want a beretta px4 storm compact .40 in da next few weeks over da springfield xdm 3.8 compact .45. I'll get a viridian green laser or da one from beretta. Da folks at da gun shop said it'll hold an extended mag w/21 rds, I believe. Then I'ma want a g19 to where I'll also get da viridian along w/a 50 rd drum & extended 30 rd magazine. I'll open carry till I get a ccl.

You might want to recheck your laws. Its just more paper work and money and depends on where you live.

gotta pay an extra fee and background check thru the ATF to get it for (lawful purposes)

Having owned examples of most of the major manufactures products (except for sure fire). I'd take a look at the Liberty line of cans. One of the best cans out there in terms of db reduction and Liberty has stellar customer service.

I made the same decision on the same gun, but prolly for different reasons.

there is a huge debate on non-pumps in a offensive role (personally I am getting a M4 for a assault shotgun)

I saw them demoing a double barrel semi auto on Sons of Guns but I didn't watch the whole episode. Now I gotta find that thing. That would be interesting to shoot. If I find the vid I may have to forward it to my local gun shop and see what they can do. That looks real interesting. Even a master shooter would feel crazy missing twice with one pull. LOL.

it is just a novelty, the muzzle climb along will be enough for me. WHY not up grade the fire control system, then you can get a great engagement and kill ability. The top discussion is TIMMEY or Geissele tigger
