Can or How do you use Wifi Calling on Iphone 5

i heard there is an app for it....I never liked that shit always dropped my calls but it does come in handy..

Anyone having trouble updating their iPad. Mine will not update. It keeps giving me an error

Yeah I hate the fact that it won't. I just got me a galaxy 2 for that feature. Apple be on that bullshit sometimes.

They only have to have the same app downloaded. Besides using an app, don't see how it's possible across all platforms.

You don't see it, but that's precisely the point. On a galaxy s2 or any other phone that allows free wi fi calling, you can call any number in your contacts, regardless of what they have. All they need to have is a number to call.

I know what you're talking about, but that list of devices is so small. I don't even think it's built in newer devices. I don't have my S3 anymore, so I can't test to see if Samsung put in on anything past S2.

Doesn't matter how small that list is, the op asked if it was on the iPhone. It isn't. Up only need to have one of them to access the feature. If that feature is important enough to you...

Would've thought one of the carriers would have activated it on the iPhone by now. T-Mobile and Sprint did it for their select devices(Mega,S4mini,8X,925). Can't see why or if Apple would block something like that, then again, none of these companies surprise me anymore.

I was doing a Google search and they were saying on a few forums that Apple did not integrate it into their OS. Is that true?

Apple seems to have ties with certain services to make sure they stay profitable for the other companies. Some sort of cooperation

Well that sucks. Unless Apple sees it as competing with FaceTime. On second thought, that's bullshit, cause they do have WiFi calling on iPhones, since the 4 series(it sucks ass though, but still in there). Must be like what Exiled said, something else to why carriers won't enable it on their networks.

Even before my company got the last update, we've been using WiFi calling with iPhones for the last 3 years. Able to make calls to any device or any phone. Can't say the same for the 5 series.

I use Textfree EX on my iPod Touch. As long as there is a wifi signal, I can also use it as a phone. You can buy minutes for cheap to call cellphones and land lines. Get you folks to load the same app and talk for free. I have it on my Android phone too.
