2014 Free Agency Thread

Former Cardinals LB Karlos Dansby reached agreement on a 4-yr, $24M deal including $14M gtd with Cleveland, per ESPN sources.

This makes no sense...You get rid of D'Qwell Jackson, your best linebacker and yet you give an older player more money.....:smh::lol::lol:

Dansby's higher rated in pass coverage and equal or better against the run. I expect them to draft more Backers anyway.

Owen Daniels cut.
Brice McCain cut.
Earl Montgomery signing with the Dolphins.
Matt Schaub still here.

I don't care about free agency just starting. My Texans last year were a 10-11 win team that SEVERELY underachieved due in large part to poor coaching and lack of accountability. No need to come in and destroy EVERYTHING before even setting foot on the field of play.

This team is fucked. I wonder what it's like to have a real football team in town.....

 Chill. Ya'll weren't gonna get any better because of free agency anyway. I'd wait until after the draft.

why would the hell did the 49ers trade for Blaine Gabbert...

same reason we traded for colt mccoy. just somebody else we're either gonna package to make a trade or use as the dude who isn't going to play.

we're drafting a qb later in the draft to be THE backup going forward.

it's a meh move. 6th round pick that wouldn't have a roster spot. no harm no foul imo.

I've heard that but i'd be shocked. Ware would have to sign like a 3 or 4 millions dollar contract....and at that point why not just take the pay cut?

They probably still had to pay him some sort of guaranteed money to cut him

Not just the full salary he was due

So maybe if you combine that with a new deal it equals more?

Shit I don't know

malcolm jenkins really what a bunch of bullshit :smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh:

i feel like i just took a girls clothes off and got a bad whiff of her puntang

Eagles get Malcolm Jenkins

I'm good with that...Him and Mike Mitchell were my secondary choices next to Ward and Byrd..still hope that they're pursuing one of them tho

I would love to see a Daniels come to Baltimore and reunite with Kubiak

A double tight end set with him and Pitta in his offense would be nice to see

Young QB coming from a HORRIBLE franchise. Reclamation project for a 6th rounder. PLus we only have 2 QBs on the roster

How many draft picks yall have this year..I know yall got atleast 10 I believe....or am I wrong....

Dog we have entirely too many holes to fill in this team. We can't expect to fill all of them in the draft. I mean seriously, we need a starting QB, ILB help, OLB help, RT, Safety help, backup RB, DL help, TE..... hell I'm stopping there because I don't wanna have to put a COLIN warning on my post.

We went from the Denver Texans and are now transitioning to the Houston Patriots. Over 10 years in the league and no identity.....

I stand by my original statement.

garbage nothing to be happy about. a fucking lateral move

a Lateral move?

you think Chung was better?

Jenkins is versatile, can play both Corner and safety...better in coverage than Chung or Coleman..about on par with Allen (who's decent)...and they didn't overpay so this ain't the only move they're going to make for the secondary, believe that..don't be surprised if we're still in play for Byrd or Revis (if he gets cut tommorow)

I just hope your front office gets a deal done with Kaep SOON. Local radio said that as things stand right now, Gabbert's salary would be two times that of Kaep's. :smh::smh::puke::(

Gabbert taking that pay cut immediately.

Kap deal will be done before the season start. No worries.

about $15 million worth of salary signed with the chargers and the browns today

@RVacchianoNYDN: I heard the Giants had some interest in WR James Jones too, but Jacoby Jones is higher on their list.
