This article seems to imply that men who share housework and responsibilities at home, share in child rearing and finances are found LESS attractive to their mates?

Which seems like a contradiction to what many women claim to want in a man/relationship.

What are your thoughts/opinions?

He used to pay me to iron his shirts when he was home on leave. Sometimes I refused because he was so chauvinistic. The wife takes care of her brother like that. She washes his clothes, irons them. Cleans his house. She is very opposite of me. She believes in very traditional things when it comes to that stuff. She cooks, she cleans. She doesn't like men in the house doing things. Boys in this house do not cook or clean. She makes their beds. Our husband was treated that way by his mother and grandmother. They dont believe men should do that stuff. All the men in the family have "man" jobs. Mechanics. landscaping. Machinists. Pilot. Gunsmith. All the women are nurses, 1 doctor, 1 lawyer. All the rest? Nurses.

You can work and do your husbandly duties. But part of those duties is emotional cohesiveness as well. It's not just 1 thing. It's about balance.

And your balance both ways comment doesn't make sense to me. I could let it go if you don't KNOW where dirty clothes go. But i know lots of guys who'll throw the shit on the floor and the hamper is 6 inches away. She feels she has to pick it up. And if it was the first time? Sure she's nuts. But if it's the 141st time? My wife is really really suzie homemaker type. All of that June Cleaver shit from back in the day. She does it ALL. Even crochets. Knits. Makes clothes. And can skin animals lol. I can't do one of that.
