There updates are nothing more than filters...if such and such received an amount greater than this from transfer/unknown source = ban..

Because R* is serious about maintaining the in game economy, if everyone is damn near billionaires..they would need to inflate prices for all in game shit to extraordinary heights to drain that excess out..it would in effect destroy the gaming experience for someone just now starting off playing the game because nothing would be affordable.
Secondly, it absolutely crushes R* ability to make any more money via cash cards. Thirdly, they know who is cheating and who isn't..on a case by case basis, reporting avenues include the community board or the email address...system wide, it's the game patches that eliminate supposed "cheaters" from online. Would you risk a six month ban or outright console ban for someone dumping money into your account?
