2013-14 Miami Heat Official Thread: Offseason excitement coming!!!

Re: 2013-14 Miami Heat Official Thread: Road to 3-peat

spo putting bosh in the paint and making him at least the #2 option in the offense is the only step needed...that and staying healthy..i swear the heat operate way more efficiently when bosh and lbj post up;....

P.s. I believe spo holds the heat back; they could be much more better offensively if he added just a few things...

I been screaming that second option shit since year one...

It's just brings continuous balance to your attack

You can't make a player do something he doesn't want to do, Spo don't tell Birdman and Beasly to cut hard to the basket and Bosh to camp 15 feet away. It's Bosh soft head thats telling him what to do..

Re: 2013-14 Miami Heat Official Thread: Road to 3-peat

I think the spurs beat themselves in the game that could have ended the series so how are the heat better than them?

The Heat beat the three of the last 4 games that was played in the entire season good teams make adjustments and get better, lesser team has no answers to adjustments....

RoadRage CB been doing this all season...

Foul trouble been ducking with Bosh lately

Its not foul trouble its his game is fucken weak as hell... Dude has no weight, no post up moves, and no jumps.. Shit he walks after every jump shot, taking 4 baby nervous steps before shooting, and cant rebound.. I sat there the 2nd half only watching him on defense isolated, and he dosn't even stick to his man, he floats around, and the Bulls picked up on it, and rotate their man until there is a miss match that they can exploit...
Bosh needs to stay with his man, gut it out and play tougher in the paint, cause this is exactly what he was forced to do vs Indiana and the Spurs last year towards the end of both playoff series and it worked..

Re: 2013-14 Miami Heat Official Thread: Road to 3-peat

Havent been here in a while........

When I reflect on NBA LEGENDS like MJ, Magic, Bird, etc talk about players that gave them a challenge in their careers.....players that presented obstacles while they fought to win titles.....i ask myself...will LBJ ever have that type of discussion?

From where I stand.....facing true struggles..and fighting your way out those struggles to win it big is respectable...but having easy rides to titles isnt.

I cant blame Miami or LBJ for playing in such a bs era....but since this team has been constructed...they've been challenged a total of what.... 3 times? Pacers, Spurs and Dallas?? Cant really call Boston a challenge..because when the Celtics were at their height and owning the East....LBJ was with the Cavs.

This Heats team didnt meet a true challenge until last year. Which means only 1 of their 3 titles is respectable...in a sense.

This year wil be another easy ride for them due to how weak the East is. The Pacers today are what the Bulls were 3 years ago; A team with one star/go to guy and a bunch of good role players. The only difference is their go to guy is big and healthy...and not so easy to shut down. With that being stated...imho...the Pacers wont beat the Heat this year. So basically its the Heat vs one of the superpowers out West for the NBA finals.

My point.....
if yall cant win a title this year.....then Maybe LBJ should just go back to he Cavs.
Cause another EASY TITLE WIN IS RIGHT AT YOU ALLS DOOR STEPS. Its there for the taking.

As a Bulls fan..I wish I could relate to being a fan of a team that never had to fight...but.....
gotta leave that to Heats fans.....i.e. fans of a team/franchise that wil never be worth a shit until they face REAL OBSTACLES.

Time to go smoke out!!!

BULLS!!!!!!!!!!!

BULLS!!!!!!!!!!!

Name another superstar that has won back to back championships on a team that is so weak at rebounding... To me this is what separates James from most, shit even Jordan had a rebounding machine on the Bulls...
With the Heat they have to out hustle, out smart and out play every one of their opponents to win.. They don't have the luxury that most teams have of playing poorly and camping under the basket for easy baskets.. This said the Heat still are able to turn things up a notch and run off 20 wins again..
But I compare them to a Lamborghini, they are a highly tuned work of art, however if one component is off or not up to peek condition the who car will fuck up.. They are not built like a Jeep where they can run strong even in adversity..

The Heat have faced 6 elimination games in the 3 years they've been together...wtf is this shit about them never facing adversity?

Jordan had 1 in all of his 6 years winning a title.

Magic had 4 during from 87-89...2 total from his 1980 title to 85.

If you want to say Lebron has not had a proven champion rival at his peak these last 2 years, I'd buy that. Neither did Mike...he became a champ as Magic and Bird were on their way out. What player was his rival?

But that shit has been easy and Lebron won't be able to look back at times where he can smile and be proud of his team rising to the challenge? Nah.

I see the Heat find it more interesting to play the bulls when Rose is on the roster other them wack niggas ain't bout shit

It was proven in the playoffs in 2011,2012 and 2013

These niggas been to the ECF once in 12 years. Foh

Re: 2013-14 Miami Heat Official Thread: Road to 3-peat

heat rebounding was just anemic last night..jesus

and while I dont get too up or down about one regular season game I can never understand the lack of effort they put forth sometimes

Really back to back low energy efforts like this.

So when I hear people say going after 72-10 I laugh. This team doesnt have the professionalism to hit 72 games

I think they should pull back off of the crazy, hard trapping, switching defense they play all the time.

It just takes way too much energy to play that type of defense for 48 minutes, and frankly, I don't think it really works unless you get a fully healthy Wade. It was bourne I think out of necessity during the first year and a half when they struggled in the halfcourt and needed to get out and run as much as possible.

They don't really need to do that anymore...they have one of the best passing and halfcourt teams in the league and have no problems scoring now. Maybe they should go back to more of a traditional defense.

The helter skelter type of defense they play when every rotation isn't perfect leads to a bunch of wide open 3's and guys completely out of position on the glass...you wind up having things like Chalmers and Ray Allen trying to box out Noah and David West, and that's just not going to work.
