I'm not sure I understand your smiley. Are you saying Santi is unattractive? I agree that she is not as "pretty" as Res, but she is still a fine sistah. My suspicion about her lack of popularity on BGOL is because she is married to a white dude, and I know how Bruhs feel about that around here. As for me, I would happily be her sidepiece.

I'm asking again, does anybody in the Fam fuck with "Stiffed", Santi's old band? Still trying to find some lyrics. And let's hear more about the show from whoever went.

I still listen to that first album. She sexy as hell too.

Agreed on both counts my dude. First album is still in rotation and she's gorgeous.

Santi, aka, Santigold, wrote that whole album. There was some criticism that they just through Res on it because she was pretty and could sell records, which is what happened.

Santigold (my 2nd wife) aka Santi White writing the songs was never a secret. She's given credit in the album insert. There was never a controversy. Res (my 1st wife) definitely benefited from Santi's writing as all artists that have had the benefit of singing any of her songs have. Santi is the shit no doubt. Does not take away from Res at all.

This is all news to me!! I had no idea Santigold had anything to do with that album. I knew that the production was handled by some dude named "Doc", and he was a big part of why the final product was so fucking dope (check out Esthero's first album for proof). Bit disappointed that Res didn't write the material but her vocals were pretty special regardless.

I used to have a major Crush on this sista back in the day, She was; Beautiful, natural looking, had original style--both physically and musically, and seemed down to earth and real intelligent in interviews. copped her album, bumped it heavily and put wifey on to her.

Didn't have any idea about the Santigold story but finally hearing it makes so much sense now. I never figured out why such a bad sista with a critically acclaimed album just practically disappeared into thin air
