but this is what Magic wanted. Magic left TNT and went to ABC/ESPN because of the money they offered. Remember ESPN/ABC was offering Shaq more money than TNT but people know how shit is over there at ABC.

ABC wanted Grant Hill but lost him to TNT/NBA TV as well.

ESPN kicked off Jon Barry and Chris Broussard for Bill Simmons.

Expect a lot more Doc Rivers at the draft type of shit to happen.

Yea, Simmons is great in print, though his issues with being overly wordy seem to have gotten worse with age. His shit on page2 back in day was must read material for me. I still remember one all star write up did and a story he told about Rashard Lewis in Houston. Got dam thats a funny cac.

I remember that. He was great in the beginning. He's spread himself too thin and got away from his strength - writing and now when he does write, he overcompensates with long, drawn out pieces.

One more thing, a great writer does not make a good editor. Grantland sucks.
