You are all the way wrong. Kim finally agreed to marry the Jamaican medical student during the last episode. Freddie dropped Shaza early in season 6 to be with Ron, who at that time was casually dating Kim.

first off Kim and Dwayne NEVER dated or even flirted...so that ends that.

She actually saved their marriage when Dwayne almost cheated on Whitley.

sad thing is they discussed this topic more then once on the show over a decade ago...

and it is still an issue.

Kim's storyline resonated with MORE young Black kids then anyone else's because she was regularly dealing with working, student loans, work-study, grants etc....

It wasnt until I started school myself that I really appreciated her character.

And the color thing, southern vs. nothern blacks, money would come up often between her and Whitley when they were roommates.

Kim was REAL and not about no bullshit. She kinda replace Julissa as because they missed up HER storyline marrying the Col.

And had a great voice and a looked GREAT in those jeans.

It was RON and Dwayne's mom that really made them get together.

They kinda wrote it that Kinu was a Japaneses Whitley but the difference was she really did love Dwayne when he was a nerd too..she just saw his potential and was able to nudge him better.
