Drake Wu-Tang forever song

go back to his original question... he asked "what lyric was quote worthy." Meaning that's YOUR opinion. He didn't asked for a punchline. He was asking for your opinion. You then in turn brought up battle rapping and all kinds of other stuff when he was asking for you to show what you liked about Drake's bars. You're right, if it's a storytelling piece, you could've picked a RUN of lines. For example, if you asked what i liked about the song "Sing About Me" by Kendrick Lamar (which is in essence storytelling from a persona poem perspective) i would've quoted:

I'm fortunate you believe in a dream
This orphanage we call a ghetto is quite a routine

Then told you I think it's dope how he was speaking in someone elses voice TO himself. I would've said I love the allusion in calling the hood an orphanage discussion absentee parents.

See, that was mad easy.

These are lost niggas. It doesn't matter what is being said in the song. I would bet he didn't even listen for comprehension of the words that were actually being said just based on his description of the fucking song. How can you say a song is hot and can't even quote a lyric that you think is good for any reason? This shit is madness.

Yes, we are birds because the music has nothing that is noteworthy and because the RZA is accepting checks.

I understand the RZA because he grabbed up hundreds of niggas from the hood to rep Wu Tang and now they got their hands out during lean times.

I don't understand how this nigga Drake supposedly has all this talent, has been challenged by his peer to raise the bar in his music, takes the Wu Tang name and drops a rap song with not a single rhyme that is worth quoting.

Now you know RZA has way more integrity than to sign off on some wack shit all in the name of a check, especially when it has to do with the legacy of the WU.

If it's good enough for Bobby Dig, all y'all niggas can go cry in the fuckin car.

I don't know Rza to speak on his integrity. Do you?

I do know Wu Tang has slapped their names on a lot of sloppy products over the years from clothes to comics and etc.

Plus Rza has put out weak music himself so I don't care about his ear anymore.

I talking about Drake's bitch ass.

I've enough interviews from RZA over the years to know he's a man of integrity. He most certainly wouldn't sellout for a buck.

Last music I heard from him was on the Watch The Throne album which was CRAZY!!!! Not to mention his dope feature on Kanye's MBDTF.

My point is if the leader if the Wu co-signs, how can y'all be butt hurt?

What we know is, Rza (according to you) cosigns. INS doesn't.

The question that was posed to you is what did Drake say that made u like the song? Any particular bars stand out to you?

I think I've made my point about taking one line and proving a song is good based on 1 line. If a song can have a few good lines and still be trash then doesn't that mean lines although appreciated, aren't the end-all be-all determining factor of a song being great or not.

Only one that is butt-hurt is you wet pillow niggas because you can't explain why the song is hot. I see you trying to change subjects to RZA and I keep telling you I don't give a fuck about RZA or however signed off on this shit. Dry your eyes and figure out what you like in the music.

Because I nodded my head the whole time, eventually started singing along, and replayed it several times and will continue playing it indefinitely.

Looking forward to hear what's on the album.

You say you don't care about what the RZA thinks but you know if he called the song garbage you'd be using that as part of your argument, stop frontin.

I can think for myself... You were singing along but don't think anything you were singing is quote worthy? Are you retarded?

You know what... I'm good. I've seen enough.

Nigga said this shit is perfect for sitting next to a burning fire place, having a glass of Chardonnay, and a reading a Zane book

Me personally, I like the song because its artsy and sometimes I like artsy shit. This is not hip hop in the traditional sense, its more on the creative side. Yes, it has a melancholy tone like most Drake songs, but I think if people could get over the fact that the name of the song is Wu Tang Forever, then they could like it. I still can't figure out why he decided to name the track Wu-Tang Forever  The thing with Drake is people know he can rap, so most people just wanna hear joints with him snapping.

The song itself isn't actually that bad. It's just that he shouldn't have had that sappy ass hook on it and called it Wu-Tang Forever.

He should've either called the song "It's Yours" and kept it as is or made the song into an actual dedication song, w/o the singing and kept the name.

I have to agree. Although I stated I liked the joint. He should NOT have named it WuTang forever. He messed up there.

:roflmao2: Damn...

My biggest issue is the title. The song is trash already but how are you gonna name a song after one of the most LYRICAL rap groups ever and not have an ounce of lyrics in it? Call the song something else or GO IN on the mic.

For all you asking about "quotables", lets say hypothetically you agree that there are several dope lines. Would that change your overall opinion on the song? Will you now play the song in your whip or at the crib? NO. And that's my point when it comes to using 1 line as a barameter for how good a song is.

FYI: I just relistened to the song and there actually are several hot lines in the song, but I'd never give you the satisfaction of letting you know what I think they are
