"I didn't think it would cause this much drama. I didn't know it would be all over everything like this."

The couple have been together for 20 years, Thicke said, after they met and dated in high school. They have a 3-year-old son named Julian.
Even Thicke's dad, actor Alan Thicke, has defended "Blurred Lines," and his son's motives for writing the racy song.
"I think that there are blurred lines within the 'Blurred Lines,'" the elder Thicke said in an interview with The Canadian Press on Monday. "Robin's point of view, I think, in his own parts of the song ... is kind of female empowerment when you look at it."
"It's not so much, 'We know you want it' — it's 'We hope you want it,'" the former "Growing Pains" star explained.
"It's still a guy waiting for permission, saying, 'I'm not your maker.' Nobody grabs anybody; we're waiting for permission here. And not only that, but it's guys trying to be cute and funny."
