as someone said he should have offed Jesse long ago he is just in the way of progress. even though he did come up with the magnet plan to break the computer in the evidence locker

Focused? Man Jesse has been fucked up since before gale...Jessie's character is really a great portrayal of a conflicted, damaged and self conscious to a fault dude who just never knew how to win in life...killing gale just proved to himself that he was destined to go down a bad path...really haunting if u go back and binge watch from season 2 and up

let me know how many drug addicts you've come upon...I'd go out on a limb to say I've encountered more...not employing critical thinking doesn't mean they're devoid of thinking

It's the bodies man. The innocent kid dying was too much. Jesse has always been the most human character. He was a spaz as a dealer. You know those kids, ey deal drugs, maybe get knocked once, then turn it around. His character has been shown to be pretty intelligent throughout the series.
Look at his friends, badger and skinny Pete. They're both pretty intelligent guys, they just chose the wrong path.
So out of the three, two would continue, one of those two die, and Jesse would have the most potential to turn it around.
But then Walt comes along.....
As a whole the Jesse character is deep, but you have to take the bits and pieces they give you. They don't just TELL you.

I'll say they were possibly exposed to a good upbringing as we saw w/ jesse + his family...suburban white kids gone bad...doesn't make them intelligent tho...walter is intelligent

I'm not saying he's a complete idiot...I def saw the potential in his character in the later seasons which is why I think the writers are taking a shortcut by having him completely collapse like this
