Maaan I'll be right there with you lighting shit up. They could kill Skylar within the first 5 minutes of the first episode and I would happy.

Re: Breaking Bad *series finale 8/11/13

Over these 5 seasons, Breaking Bad has had an amazing soundtrack. Too bad they didn't do a soundtrack along with the DVD sells or something of the sort. They more than likely would have made a killing on that as well.

I'm still surprised Walt hasn't called her out on her hypocrisy of aiding Ted in criminal activity then turning around and condemning him once she found out about what he was doing. Especially with how arrogant he has become at this point.

Re: Breaking Bad *series finale 8/11/13

I re-watched seasons 1-5 this past week and man was it time well spent.
Calling this show great is an understatement. The writing is the epitome of what suspenseful television drama should be.

Re: The Official " Breaking Bad Season 5 " thread

a'ight..so it appears..that the Walt Whitman book of poetry may not have been given to Walt by Gale Boetticher..his former lab assistant...but by Gretchen Schwartz..his former college sweetheart...whose maiden name is "Black"...and went on along with her husband/Walt's college buddy.. Elliot Schwartz..to start Gray Matter...the billion dollar company...

that better explains what the book was doin' in his home...

 MIND OFFICIALLY BLOWN!

Ben q, your lame ass said hell on wheels wouldn't be coming back.

It is!

Re: Breaking Bad *series finale 8/11/13

Props for putting me on this and setting me straight with the old seasons back in the day H-funk.
Don't forget my predictions for the end game I told you a few years back.

Sure thing, AMF. My pops actually put me onto the show a few episodes in back in season 1 in 2008. Got hooked and started telling other friends and fam' about it ... and it's been cool watching the series catch more and more buzz as the years have gone on. Hell ... cool hearing people of all ages talk about it and people getting caught up via Netflix, downloads, etc. I remember reading a few years back the ratings/viewership grew each year as the first 3 - 4 seasons started. Not sure how season 5 did ... but yo ... these final episodes are gonna be dope

Take this theory being circulated by “Breaking Bad” fans with a grain of salt — after all, on “Mad Men,” the theory that Megan would end up murdered like Sharon Tate ended up flat-out wrong.

But BuzzFeed has pulled from a fan forum a wild theory about Walt’s next act as the series moves towards its conclusion (the final set of episodes begins airing on Sunday).

I read this somewhere, maybe Reddit, and it’s quite an intriguing theory.

In Breaking Bad, Walt has a habit of taking on some little traits of the people he has killed. When Walt killed Crazy 8, he started cutting off the crusts of his sandwiches — just as Crazy 8 had done.

Gus drives a Volvo. After Walt kills Gus, at the beginning of Season 5 (at the Denny’s), Walt is driving a Volvo (w/ NH plates).

When Mike and Walt meet at a bar in an earlier season, Walt orders his drink neat while Mike has his on the rocks. After Mike is killed, and Hank offers Walt a drink in his office — he asks for it on the rocks.

At that same scene at Denny’s, Walt arranges his bacon into his new age. Someone else used to do that. On top of that, he’s using Skyler’s maiden name on his fake ID.

Based on his history of picking up traits from his victims — I believe Walt is going to murder Skyler before the series is over, and it probably had already happened before he showed up at the Denny’s in the Season 5 cold open.

Wow...I like the break down. Interesting. I've noticed all of those things except the maiden name thing... How do they know that "Lambert" is Skyler's maiden name? I don't recall that ever being mentioned.

Re: Breaking Bad *series finale 8/11/13

I like the skyler thing...it'd be long overdue...looking @ the reruns...her emasculating attitude + manipulative/domineering nature from the very start is the reason walter has always had a lil chip on his shoulder that keeps growing...she + the cancer are the driving force behind him taking control of his life in this bizarre manner...and not to mention all the shit she did w/ ted...the sex + the $$$

Good shit, fam' - especially the final few sentences. GOod to hear the podcasters and sites talking about this too (picking up the traits, etc). :)

For the fans of podcasts ... here's some good ones I've listened to in recent seasons. I play my podcasts in x2 playback speed (to get through them quicker) and skip over any commercial breaks if there are any ... but yo ... if you wanna hear some good breakdowns, predictions, spoilers and shit over the past 5 seasons ... give these ones a listen ...

Re: Breaking Bad *series finale 8/11/13

Friendly reminder for the fam' that may be home (or away from the house) this weekend. AMC is doing their mini marathons leading into the new season.

Saturday (today) doing it for HELL ON WHEELS leading into the season 3 premiere.

Tomorrow (Sunday) doing it for the prior run of BREAKING BAD in 2012 leading into the premiere in the evening.

If you wanna brush up on either series ... or just set that DVR / TiVO (instead of downloading or streaming episodes) ... give 'em a look.

Re: Breaking Bad *series finale 8/11/13

If you understand this trailer you pretty much have an idea what is going to happen.

What's being said is from a sonnet by (Shelley) which pretty much is about the rise and fall of great leaders. I believe the sonnet was about an Egyptian king.

I actually like this trailer. I think a lot of people will not get it but I think it was pretty cool...

Anyway....I think Walt will die from Cancer before being killed or caught. If you remember at the beginning of season 5 they showed him eating at Denny's. He was coughing and taking pills. When season 4 ended he was getting a scan done.

He probably kills Hank, Marie, and Skyler before he skips town...

If he doesn't die from cancer, I'm sure that Jesse kills him. :smh:
