Man of Steel 2 News: Bryan Cranston from BREAKING BAD as Lex Luthor?

Doesn't matter who they cast. Between the inevitable shaky cam and crash zoom, you won't get to see their face anyway. Any bald head will suffice.

LOL, this is true, but Cranston as Luthor would be on point, I swear I've gotten back into watching "Malcolm in the Middle" and his transformation from Hal into Walter White on "Breaking Bad" is what ALL actors should be able to do, but only a few are able!

idk...he's good on tv...doesn't translate to the big screen tho imo...just like dude from mad men

Would be too distracting. I couldn't separate him from Walter White.

Goddamit, why can't these fucks just leave Lex Luthor outta this shit for a while. Muthafuckas act as though there aren't other villains or some shit. :smh:

Yeah, I just picked up Breaking Bad a few months ago. My face was like  when I realized it was the same guy. To see his character devolve (or evolve) into Walter White was damn impressive.

He'll be a good choice for Luthor.

Lex is essential. I'm glad they are casting him. He needs to be more like this

And less like this

It's easy to be sick of him when they haven't gotten him right.

Done what before?

He went from a hilarious Dad who did EVERYTHING he could to stay ahead of the hijinks his 4 (later 5) sons put him thru on every ep of "Malcolm in the Middle", to a cool, calm, calculated (but crazy) meth dealer on "Breaking Bad"!

Hal

Walter White

See what I mean?!?

Lets not forget every super hero needs a smart ass feminist female to keep them in check and help save the day

IKR, it's not the super strength or super speed, nor the omnipotent nature of our hero that saves the day, but the sensibilities of the mortal female.

I don't doubt his acting, I just couldn't see him as Luthor, because it would seem like Walter White was Superman's villain.

Frasier Crane to Tom Kane is also a good one.

He has plenty of work in the big screen.

so...I said nothing about quantity...I'm talking about quality...please share w/ me a big screen role(s) that he played that makes you think he's suitable to be cast as a leading villain in a blockbuster movie...I will watch that movie tonite if I haven't see it already

Mark Strong was a pick of mine. I had some others in mind to...

As long as they go with the business man Lex. The genius that apposes Supes with his intellect.

I don't think the idea is to focus on Lex as a main villain in the new film, if at all. The Lexcorp Easter Egg in the last film was nice.

Mark Strong needs to stay as Sinestro. I'd pick Billy Zane over Strong.

I want them to pick the best actor available, not the best bald actor. My pick would be Daniel Day Lewis. He can channel Bill the Butcher in his portrayal as someone who doesn't approve/trust/like Superman.

At some point you have to introduce Lex. He is to Superman as the Joker is to Batman. He's part of Superman's story.

The Joker >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Lex Luthor

Billy was my first pick a while ago when superman returns came out. He's kinda old now and I haven't seen him in anything lately.

ya he woulda been a great pick...he shoulda been casted for superman returns

*edit*

for some reason I had him mixed up w/ arnold vosloo from the mummy...he'd be a good choice too but he might be a bit old now

ya he woulda been a great pick around the time of the mummy...he shoulda been casted for superman returns

 he wasn't the mummy.

I think he'd be fine as Luthor now. His age would work. I mean isn't Luthor supposed to be a little older than Superman?
