Deion Sanders: Blacks Have ‘Audacity’ to Judge Cooper For Using ‘N’ Word

Nicely put and I definitely cosign what you said. Black celebs are definitely thinking more about keeping their careers going for the most part than black solidarity. :smh:
This is going to be controversial, but I thought about it...

...and Deion Sanders saying this makes me believe it even more strongly.

There are people in the black community who are willing to kiss up to white people, and lambast their own people openly.

Why?

Well, to be frank, these people are basically comparing and contrasting the pros and cons of kissing up and black solidarity...

...and conclude that their are far more benefits to kissing up to white people than their are to black solidarity.

What do we have to offer them?

Hope?

Nick Cannon let Nugent come on his show and wild the fuck out. Why? The white man's check is too good.

Deion is out there tap dancing? What can we offer him NOT to tap dance?

Clarence Thomas is one of the biggest coons to ever live. Why wouldn't he be?

The fact of the matter is we don't get respect from other races, and even some within our race because we don't do nothing but talk shit and swallow spit That's ALL we do. People would hate us even more if we actually stood on our word, and become the force that we were decades ago, but at least they'd respect us.

You may hate the dude who'll blow your brains out for talking shit to him, but you'll think really long and hard before you talk to him sideways though, right?

We create shit, and let other people profit off of our creation.

No one respects us, because they wouldn't do the shit we do.

We go out to vote and don't even have an agenda. We just vote.

Who does that?

So, bash these sell-outs if you must, but what is the black community offering them to buy into?

Not a damn thing.

We get heated for a month or so, and go back to lettin' the world fuck us over.

Shit may sound harsh, but I'm sick of momentary solidarity.

You said what you want, equality, which is impossible and not because of black people.
Wrong. I said it's sad to believe things will never be that way. And don't act like black people are innocent. There are some out there who are terrible to the core.

where am i bitching and moaning? point it out.

Are you admitting yourself to be an ignorant person? Because that is who I said are the ones bitching and moaning. That is on you, if the shoe fits and you choose to take personal offense to that.

the ABSOLUTE wrong tree for you to try and bark up.. the wrong one.

Not by a long shot. If you're going to choose to judge someone else's view, you better have damn good reason to do so. I am pretty positive that I am one of the youngest members on this board and I have given back to not only my community but to my "brothers". Am I perfect? Not by a long shot. But I am doing more than most who sit around and complain about problems, hoping they will be fixed on their own.

YES US

Not even ancestors my mother and father went through pain and struggle i saw it on their face, they told me what they went through. you talking about ancestors like shit wasn't fucked up in this lifetime like shit has been sweet or something.

No, not us. Is this world perfect now? No..But things aren't how they were 500 years ago. Things have been changed because those who suffered fought for us to live better. And yes, I saw the pain in my own mother's eyes. And I never said shit has been sweet. But I'm sure YOU can walk into a restroom without issues. You can protest (mostly) without being attacked by dogs and hoses

Secondly if you feel disconnected from them, then that's on you. Me personally I feel connected to my people. Did i go through those horrors NO. Did i forget who subjected them to those horrors NO which is the larger point.

Again, you speak as if you can talk for everyone. Disconnected from my people? Far from it. Last time I checked, our leaders who are now dead and gone are the ones who preached not to hate, because then we would be no better than those who hate us for no reason at all. I would say I'm pretty damn connected with my people, because it hurts to see our race going backwards instead of forward.

I'm not acting like shit. It's not an act. 500 years doesn't mean just slavery does it? Did I mention slavery specifically? You don't think them targeting black men such as ourselves is really happening today in 2013?

I never mentioned slavery. I said you refer to the struggle as if you lived it. Unless something absolutely terrible happened to you, we have only seen a hint of what our fathers, mothers, aunts, uncles, grandmothers, grandfathers, and so on have seen.

...

problem with that is, go out there to them and help them, or let them see something different don't turn your nose and separate/distance yourself. talking about im not like them.. but guess who you look like to someone who isn't black...

You speak of not barking up the wrong tree yet have no problem pointing your nose as if you were above those who think differently than you. Distance myself? Can't see how when I volunteer and donate. I try to show those who are lost out there in those streets that there are better roads than where the one they are on will lead them. Hell, I'm trying to better myself as a man to prove that we can be more than drug dealers, gang bangers, or thugs.

fire will burn regardless. do i condone everything we out there doing nope. but again, why blame the victims.. this shit ain't happen over night.

every time we attempt to get our shit together, they seek and destroy true or not?

Who are the victims? Because people seem to blur that line an awful lot. Can you truly call yourself a victim if you walk around calling white people cracker this and cracker that, then someone turns around and calls you the n-word? I was always taught, if you keep knocking on doors looking for trouble, someone is going to answer and give you what you're asking for. Are many out there wrongly-treated without cause? Of course. But we as a people like to bunch ourselves into that as if it were our own pain. Only to give us a reason to hate white people. Some who don't even hate us. And yet continues the ever-lasting circle of hate.

i just watched that video and he literally took all of that shit off of Riley and made blacks the racists

man if that isnt some of the greatest cooning ever...i dont know what is

a kid making a mistake smmfh

imma call bullshit. in the 70s, yall were saying n word left and right, and it was on pryor albums and he was saying that all the time. plus, you guys think its cool George carlin uses it.

Well... Due to the fact that Carlin grew up in Harlem... He knew... that if he said it amongst certain black folks... He would have gotten his ASS WHUPPED... Especially in the 70s...

BUT... the fact is... It's a shame to see these muthafuckas like Deion... WHO MADE A CAREER OUT OF BEING A CERTIFIED... COUNTRIFED ... JHERI CURL JUICE DRIPPIN NIGGA AT THAT... jump on his soap box and talk that bullshit... :smh:

FUCK THE DEFLECTION, DEION... That cracka said some REAL bullshit... and here comes Captain Coon Deion to swoop down... and SAVE MASSA'S SON from NIGGA LYCHING... :smh:

I can't fuck with PrimeTime on that. Black Folks took the bite out of that word... AND... We also made it AN UNWRITTEN RULE... THAT WHITE FOLKS CAN NO ONGER USE IT WITHOUT CATCHING A BAD ONE... AND I LIKE IT LIKE THAT...

I have PAINT BRUSH SLAP quite a few white boys over that shit... and I will continue to do so...

and lmao, can someone tell me what kind of pressure cooper was under when he said n---er?

what the fuck is this coon talking about

Wrong. I said it's sad to believe things will never be that way. And don't act like black people are innocent. There are some out there who are terrible to the core.
 yea who's keeping the shit the way it is, black people or white people?

Are you admitting yourself to be an ignorant person? Because that is who I said are the ones bitching and moaning. That is on you, if the shoe fits and you choose to take personal offense to that.

why include it in the post and then say oh i was speaking in general, when you were quoting me. that's wack shit. i didn't take offense to anything i assumed you would direct and not passive.

Not by a long shot. If you're going to choose to judge someone else's view, you better have damn good reason to do so. I am pretty positive that I am one of the youngest members on this board and I have given back to not only my community but to my "brothers". Am I perfect? Not by a long shot. But I am doing more than most who sit around and complain about problems, hoping they will be fixed on their own.

and like i said. you're barking up the wrong tree. that has shit to do with what you do, you questioned me and i said you don't want to play that card about what do i do for the community. cause i do a whole fucking lot.

You can protest (mostly) without being attacked by dogs and hoses

but i better not be in the wrong neighborhood or i can be approached by someone, shot in the fucking chest, and they can go home and it be justified.

Again, you speak as if you can talk for everyone. Disconnected from my people? Far from it. Last time I checked, our leaders who are now dead and gone are the ones who preached not to hate, because then we would be no better than those who hate us for no reason at all. I would say I'm pretty damn connected with my people, because it hurts to see our race going backwards instead of forward.

then stop acting like it was a distant memory then. disconnected, not identifying with, thinking its a long ago past..

stop that.

I never mentioned slavery. I said you refer to the struggle as if you lived it. Unless something absolutely terrible happened to you, we have only seen a hint of what our fathers, mothers, aunts, uncles, grandmothers, grandfathers, and so on have seen.

something actually has, but that's not the point. its to be aware and to keep these lessons with us. that's the problem now, we think shit is ok... its WAY BETTER than it ever was but still not ok.

You speak of not barking up the wrong tree yet have no problem pointing your nose as if you were above those who think differently than you.

where is my nose up? im pleading, not suggesting i am better than.

Distance myself? Can't see how when I volunteer and donate. I try to show those who are lost out there in those streets that there are better roads than where the one they are on will lead them. Hell, I'm trying to better myself as a man to prove that we can be more than drug dealers, gang bangers, or thugs.

which is what i said to do, which by your previous post could not be indicated. i do the same.

Who are the victims? Because people seem to blur that line an awful lot. Can you truly call yourself a victim if you walk around calling white people cracker this and cracker that, then someone turns around and calls you the n-word?

yes. this is what i don't get, if you know there won't be any equality, why try to apply it in this situation, when it isn't applied anywhere else. in this we have equal footing... its we all need to be equal to one another... in everything else though? you see it.. you see how it is out there..

And yet continues the ever-lasting circle of hate.

what i will say to this is, it's not even hating white people. its being aware of what they are and do.

there are exceptions in how some view us.

they aren't the ones controlling the system though.

there is no circle of hate.. they hate US we hate them, they have the laws and the country on their side, we are made to be evil.

i mean in every aspect they try to make us out to be horrible. focus on the bad few and carry that as the stereotype for all of us.

this is why i said what i said to you about what they see you as..

cause they don't care about the individual just the color.

so we take the word nigga, which was used as a offensive term towards us for years, and make the word a term used in our own way and it's now such a huge problem. fuck white folks.

It was all good to say nigg*r until Blacks started saying & it no longer had the power. Now it's a problem :hmm:

Incredible.

this motherfucker said he said something under pressure who let us know who he really was and i can forgive him for that

:roflmao3:

so

he was under pressure (which is not fucking true what pressure? )

and it let us know who he really was ( a smile in your face bigot)

and you're ok with that?????

ahh man colonel sanders how could you

:smh:

must be the money

according to deion, it isnt cooper but its all of us

damn we're being destroyed by our own kind

just so they can live in a big house next to massa

and lmao, can someone tell me what kind of pressure cooper was under when he said n---er?

what the fuck is this coon talking about

yea the pressure shit... what pressure was he under?

what pressure was he under to make him call a black man the n word?

peer pressure?

the kid... a 25 year old kid...

 yea who's keeping the shit the way it is, black people or white people?

Honestly? It's both. Have you seen how some people in here talk. It could be a white baby and a black baby playing, and a few people would have no problem saying "get rid of that cracker baby." "Or why is that n-word playing with our baby." It is a TWO-WAY street.

why include it in the post and then say oh i was speaking in general, when you were quoting me. that's wack shit. i didn't take offense to anything i assumed you would direct and not passive.

Why include it? Because I have the right to. I'm not going to post one single line for each thought in my head. If I didn't say your name directly, which I have no problem doing with anyone. Then you shouldn't assume something. But of course, all you have to do is ask and I would have no problem clearly something up.

and like i said. you're barking up the wrong tree. that has shit to do with what you do, you questioned me and i said you don't want to play that card about what do i do for the community. cause i do a whole fucking lot.

Again, it's a two way street. What I do has nothing to do with you, and what you do has nothing to do with me. You can keep going with that, or move the fuck on. Because in MY eyes, your actions are not greater than mine. And mine are not greater than yours.

but i better not be in the wrong neighborhood or i can be approached by someone, shot in the fucking chest, and they can go home and it be justified.

Again, attaching yourself to a situation that happened to another person and another family. Do you feel this same way when a black teen shoots another black teen? We're up in arms over Zimmerman killing a young black man. But we have young black men killing young black men over shoes, colors, girls, etc. We must see the bigger picture before we can fix a pixel.

then stop acting like it was a distant memory then. disconnected, not identifying with, thinking its a long ago past..

stop that.

It's not a distant memory. But stop acting like it happened yesterday. Like I said, times have changed. Not all things have, and not all by much. But our day IS different from theirs. We can identify. We can relate. We can hurt. But we can not compare.

something actually has, but that's not the point. its to be aware and to keep these lessons with us. that's the problem now, we think shit is ok... its WAY BETTER than it ever was but still not ok.

Never said it was ok. Like I said, I hate that sort of treatment. No matter who it is from. But we haven't lived it. It hurts my soul to think what our people went through. And I am thankful that I do not have to live that way.

where is my nose up? im pleading, not suggesting i am better than.

Your last comment suggested that I was something other than black. Why, because I said that I am not like "niggas"? I am not. And I am sure you aren't either. There are some who just need some help. But there are others who just don't give a fuck about our people. Who would harm their own people. That is who I am not like.

yes. this is what i don't get, if you know there won't be any equality, why try to apply it in this situation, when it isn't applied anywhere else. in this we have equal footing... its we all need to be equal to one another... in everything else though? you see it.. you see how it is out there..

As I said, there will never be equality. But I do know that if I was beaten by five white officers, I wouldn't want you telling me that you know how I feel. Because you aren't the one laid up in the hospital. The one who took that beating with me. Do you see what I mean? You can sympathy with what I went through, but could you truly relate?

what i will say to this is, it's not even hating white people. its being aware of what they are and do.

there are exceptions in how some view us.

this is why i said what i said to you about what they see you as..

cause they don't care about the individual just the color.

Of course. I'm not blind to how some things are. Some white people are who they are. But that can be said about a few in every race. You either separate them because everyone is an individual or you combine all because of a race. Can't pick and choose. I am nor naive or stupid. I know some white folks will play their card or do whatever else that they will do. But I've seen some black people do whatever they can to see you struggle. I wouldn't really call that a racial thing. Some folks just don't wanna see you succeed, achieve, or prosper because they can not.

Sanders is spot on. That word isn't a privilege. There's no honor in it. It's only expressed when discrimination and injustice come into play. Shit ain't no legit term of endearment. At least not for broadcasting to random company.

Fuck cooper!!, but I cosign exactly what you wrote,

Was watching fruitvale station (good movie, very hard to watch) and these parents had their two young kids (girl/boy less than 10yrs old) watching it, with all that language, and it just made me cringe at the normalization of that damn word, and we hurl it at each other.

So yeah cooper said that shit in a waaay Ill level, but the so called endearment n...a can flip real ignorant giving the right amount of testosterone, and y'all know that y'all know that be true. Don't front

I think the players on his own team should be more angry at fact that dude is back at practice , with a fine and four days off, goodell has said fuck your concerns, basically

according to deion, it isnt cooper but its all of us

damn we're being destroyed by our own kind

just so they can live in a big house next to massa

It's absolutely sickening how lost some of these folks are. Willingly sellin' out ALL integrity for false perceived positions of stature, "friends" in high places & dollar bills. And people will be too scared to say shit b/c to cast any criticism of any of these entertainers will have you gettin' bestowed w/da label "hater" & accusations of jealousy b/c of their financial standing. All is well b/c "they gettin' money tho'". Muthafuckas don't stand for shit. :smh:

I want to see Riley get suspended....

show me a clip of a black nfl player using the word for that to even be an issue

gays call each other queers, fags, and dykes

irish call themselves mics

jews call themselves kikes

chinese call themselves chinks

shit happens everywhere b

but once again, only black folks have to be accepting to racists

just think of those hateful terms and they call each other these things.

that's why trying to single us out as alone is idiotic

italians say wop to one another

jews kike

mexicans wetbacks

etc..

I've been around Italians and never heard them refer to each other as wops.

I've been around Jews (they live in my neighborhood) and never heard them refer to each other as kikes.

I've been around Mexicans (hung out with them) and never heard them call each other wetbacks.

Don't hang around too many Chinese, but when I worked with them, never heard the word chinks.

Yet, I am walking down the street, and see a bunch of young black men using the N-word in every other sentence. This is out in public, where everyone can see and hear them.

Who the hell advertises that much fucking ignorance for the whole world to see AND hear?

There is no rationalization for using that word (especially not the way black people use the N-word today). Don't try to deflect to other races.

Jews, Italians, Mexicans, Chinese, and whoever do not make songs celebrating racial slurs. They do not make TV shows and movies where they say it every other sentence. They do not think it is funny and make jokes for everyone to hear. They do not disrespect themselves because they have a pride and a culture that they respect.

Black people clearly have little they respect if using the N-word is so important to them.

I just don't understand why black people are so determined to defend the use of such stupidity and ignorance. There are so many better things to fight to protect.

Why the fuck would you fight to be called a racial slur? I just don't get it.

26 next month.

Riley Cooper= 26year old kid who made a mistake

Trayvon Martin= 17year old man who caused his own death

its also funny though cause black men are always kids when it comes to other stuff.

when we do something good, we're a good kid.

i've never heard anyone call eli or peyton a kid. or aaron rodgers a kid..

at any point in their careers.

i have, our experiences are different. you haven't doesn't mean it doesn't happen. i have doesn't mean it happens in every circle

just like all of us don't say the n word but yet they are trying to say that we all do. which is total bullshit.

There is no rationalization for using that word (especially not the way black people use the N-word today). Don't try to deflect to other races.

no rationalization intended. its just the truth. we are the only ones who get called out, that's fact..while others do the same shit, that's fact.

george lopez built a career calling himself a beaner...

jeff foxworthy built his entire career calling himself a redneck..

That wack ass nigga wouldn't even give me his autograph unless I bought his CD with this dumb ass track on it.:hmm:

Well you must have loose associations with those groups you mentioned. I have friends in all of those groups you just mentioned and once you get to know them and be around they friends and families at they house you will see how they talk to each other.

Mexicans become "beaners" "wet-backs" "slobs" or whatever other racial slang they use. Most the Asians I know have called other Asians FOBS (fresh off the boat), Twinkies. Most the Italians I've known insult each other around food and we all know what a Guido is by now (Jersey Shore)

Don't be so ignorant to think this is something exclusive to black culture.

He's right in one area. Most people have said things that they wouldn't say around others or outside of their home. I find it funny how most people in here are quick to judge yet have shown almost as much hate as those who have promoted hate for no reason other than because someone is different. I am proud to be a black man. I just find it sadly amusing how some folks here have some excuse why they can say that "cracking ass cracker" yet flip their shit if a white boy says the n-word. In my eyes, people who do that are fucking ignorant no matter what color or gender. It's sad to believe that this world will never be equal. Whether it is because of color, gender, religion, etc. And I'm sure some dumbass is going to nitpick through this post, foaming at the mouth to jump up for some sort of "defending". I say feel free.
nah its just sad you feel this way.

raping us for 500 years

and you want kumbaya
bruh you the only one foaming that was perfectly normal response

This is going to be controversial, but I thought about it...

...and Deion Sanders saying this makes me believe it even more strongly.

There are people in the black community who are willing to kiss up to white people, and lambast their own people openly.

Why?

Well, to be frank, these people are basically comparing and contrasting the pros and cons of kissing up and black solidarity...

Shit may sound harsh, but I'm sick of momentary solidarity.

ALL of THIS.

Damn, Supreme Extremists broke it down to a tee. It's all about the economic power a community has. There's a reason why the Jewish community is untouchable and why we are the most shitted on.

Do I agree with what Deion is saying? Absolutely not but I understand why he said. "Keeping it real" doesn't pay the bills.

This and he once was one of my favorite players. Deion is now a punk bitch to me.

 sometimes I have to laugh at folks at their rationale. duke was always a punk, but now his antics are bothering you. folks have always wanted to be a brand, well, nows hes making brand-like moves.

never try to cultivate relationships with people who want to be liked.
