They totally overcharged him. We have to look through our emotions, and admit that, just like in the OJ case, the prosecutor dropped the ball.

In all seriousness, how was he overcharged? I do think the whole think was a setup from the get between the prosecution and the defense. The prosecution wasn't trying to win.

If Florida's "Stand Your Ground Law", applies to George Zimmerman; does NOT that same law also apply to an unarmed young teen, Trayvon Martin?

Why does it seem as if Trayvon is on trail for defending himself from an armed gunman,while he spoke on the phone to a friend. How was he a threat?

Shouldn't Trayvon defend himself against a grown man, who stalked Trayvon with his car, then failed to listen to the wisdom of a trained dispatched police operator, then followed Trayvon on foot, menaced a boy with gun & killed him in cold blood with that very same gun? Would George Zimmerman ever approach Trayvon or any black man without his trusty firearm? No, because George is a coward.

The state of Florida literally has the smoking gun, the body of the deceased, a confession & the police on the scene minutes after the shooting. What more do they want?
This may sound cruel. But, those people who think George Zimmerman was with in his rights for murdering an unarmed boy should send their son's & daughter's to the store & never have them comeback.

I don't see Obama getting close to this one, is their PROOF the DOJ can present I doubt it because the prosecution didn't present anything, now if you are talking the civil aspect for money they will win because he was negligent other than that I don't know what else more can be done.

the jury probably did NOT believe zimmerman, but zimmerman doesn't have to take the stand.

but with a weak prosecution, and them basically going along with the defense's version of the events, reasonable doubt is EASILY attainable without going BEYOND much thought.

I posted cases for people to read about already. It's clear Florida has different self-defense standards than most are used to. Like it or not, by Florida's batshit standards the case was weak and the prosecution didn't have much to work with. I've been looking at a lot of cases the past few days, the prosecution relies heavily on witnesses to disprove self-defense. In some cases, it's witnesses that show someone retrieved a weapon and came back. Without witnesses, you wouldn't be able to prove that and the self-defense claim would stand.

The prosecution's own witness puts Trayvon on top of Zimmerman. You know your case is fucked when that's one of the first witnesses you call. The prosecution basically called a defense witness. Having Trayvon on top of Zimmerman is testimony you want to discredit -- especially when you see how Florida's self-defense laws are and the injuries claimed.

All this case did was highlight the fact that you can start shit in Florida and claim self-defense(as can be seen in other cases). If a resident didn't know before, he/she knows now.

In most other states, Zimmerman would have been arrested that night and charged with murder. In Ohio, he would have got first degree murder.

I don't think cats have even read some of the crazy claims of self defense in Florida that have stood. I've never heard of a cat being able to tell the police he ran after someone and shot them in the back and get self defense. But in Florida, you can.

Zimmerman knew the law. Much like the jogger I posted about who I believe baited people Bronson style and got away with murder. He knew what scenarios to put himself in for self defense. I wouldn't be surprised if he had used bait tactics in the past. Like walking alone late at night or some shit.

Interesting. One thing is for sure, until those laws are repealed, I will not support tourism in FL and find other ways to boycott them economically. Any other states with similar laws?

we need to do is to Wake The Fuck Up and Pay Attention! These People who fucked the Martin Family as well as all of us collectively are all elected officials....

1. The FL Governor Rick Scott (Medical Criminal who paid a massive fine to the Fed Gov for Fraud) who also tried to restrict the voting rights of Black People during the last Presidential Election, and who (for politics) appointed State Attorney Cory to put on a Bullshit show trial and let GZ get away with Perjury, Racial Profiling, & Child Murder,

2. The FL State Legislature who wrote the Stand Your Ground (open season on Black People) Laws.

3. The Police / Sheriff who tried to cover up GZ's crime by searching for every excuse to justify the killing, i.e drug testing Trayvon, and attempting to coerce false testimony from witnesses.

All of them have to face us at the ballot box but they fear not cause we generally dont show up to vote. This Laziness/apathy on our part is the reason the law makers and law enforcement can get away with this CRAP!

Get Armed, Get Educated, Get Organized, Get Out There and make these politicians fear for their jobs, because the only thing "they" respect beyond their White Supremacy, is the money they get from special interests like the NRA, Conservative Hate Groups, and Energy Lobbyists!

Its Time to Bring the power of the old civil rights movement back, and by that I mean make them feel the pain economically! Boycotts, Lost elections, Lawsuits by the truck load, reliance on ourselves and dont use as many services "They" provide as humanly possible. With all of this economic hurt we should back it up with the force of groups like "The Black Panther Party for Self Defense" and make them fear for their lives to even think of hunting our children again.

Its Either this, or we can continue to cry at the deaths of our own while "They" smirk on TV about what a good job they did Prosecuting, then go have a drink afterwards with the Zimmerman's of the nation.

Unreal, a question was raised to him in moving on, what he thought George or himself could do to help heal the nations race divide on what just went down over the past several months since Treyvons death. I haven't been this livid in a while, assist with the embed please. Absolutely classless.

Has the term "sexist" been used yet? Anyone lost faith that 6 WOMEN couldn't come up with justice? Could 6 MEN have put George in jail based on the evidence and "common sense"? Six women dropped the ball and can go home to their husbands (if married) for protection and keep them from harm. It's like that school yard girl throwing something at you then she goes running hiding behind her boyfriend.

This whole thing is giving me a headache...Zimmerman is found not guilty

My thoughts:

  • Wasn't surprised by decision, but hoped for justice given a black president and first lady
  • Be careful how you dress or act around police and now armed white civilians...or you may die
  • Unless you are making money for a major corporation entertaining NFL, NBA, SONY, VIACOM, DISNEY you are a black male threat
  • George Zimmerman will get the murder weapon back, and will become wealthy and celebrated (books, TV, NRA, etc)
  • Repulsed that 6 women didn't protect a unarmed child...fuck maternal instinct
  • Paula Deen is happy...the heat is off her and she can sell some pots and recipies
  • a black male is a threat to America no matter the shape, education, or career.
  • If Trayvon is Travis, George Zimmerman would have been the biggest mexican since Pancho Villa
  • Chad Johnson and I have served more time for non lethal crimes than George Zimmerman will for murder/manslaughter
  • Zimmerman wasn't arrested or tried until we protested...America profits off black suffering.
  • Trayvon Martin was found guilty with evidence of being killed
  • Every 28 hours a black person is shot by a police or vigillante
  • Black on black violence in Chicago has nothing to do with Trayvon. 90% of blacks are killed by blacks 83% of whites killed by whites, moot point
  • Stand your ground laws don't apply to black...Trayvon, nor Marissa Alexander were within their rights

IMO, the case was over when the state's witness said on the stand that under Florida law a person can start a fight, be losing, & use deadly force to defend themselves. How can the state ever win in this situation (assuming the defendant isn't Black)? If all that needs to be there in a case of self defense is for the defendant to "perceive" that his life is in danger...how do you ever disprove a mental state?

:yes::yes::yes: but people are blaming every one except the prosecution.

the jury can't rule on emotion, either way.
the burden of proof is on the state.
and if there is any reasonable doubt, you can't convict.

this prosecution was so cot damn bad that BECAUSE OF THE TESTIMONY OF THEIR OWN WITNESSES, and after the fact that they let a piece of sidewalk be called a weapon...

there is NO WAY IN HELL reasonable doubt wasn't going to enter. i'm betting they did NOT believe zimmerman's story. but when the prosecution AGREES to his story, doesn't refute or challenge it, and has witnesses that agree with it, the jury has only one way to go.

this was an extremely one-sided trial with the defense lawyers calling the prosecution lawyer's case 'disgraceful.' how fucking bad is that?

but niccas are determined to dissect the jury to death... when they had clear instructions.

If Rachel Jeantel was able to conduct and express herself better (as a friend and an ultimate representative of Trayvon given her age and being a friend) do you think the tone and outcome of the trial would have been different?
