NBA Teams wants The NBA to investigate Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov

Couple of things

1. I was wrong. I thought the Western and Eastern conference team was Dallas and NY due to the bad blood between the owners but the teams were actually Cavs and the Spurs. Two teams that had larger offers on the table for AK-47 than the 3 million he settle for in BK.

2. This isn't the first time people felt that Proky broke the rules. Remember after the lockout was lifted and Dwight demanded a trade to BK and Orlando felt the Nets had tampering with Dwight. Saying during the lockout that during Dwight trip in Russia he had met with Proky. Even Dwight best friend said that before the Russia trip Dwight wanted LA but after that he was all BK.

3. The Mirza thing was strange. He was promised the MLE and 15 million. Cleveland and other teams had deals for him. pop and the Spurs wanted Mirza two years ago and went so far to diss the Nets for not using him correctly

It passed unnoticed last week when Gregg Popovich, talking about the value of international players in the Spurs system, told Jeff MacDonald of the San Antonio Express News the following...

"I won’t mention the team, but a team we played this season … there was a foreign kid on there and the kid was open all the time. He was out there wondering, ‘What the…? I can’t get the ball?’ You’d see that look on his face five times during the game. While an American kid is dribbling in place, holding the ball. The guy played on a good team overseas, in a good program. He came over … [In Europe], he gets the ball and shoots it. Now, it doesn’t come."

Mirza Teletovic played 10 minutes in the Spurs blowout of the Nets, took one shot, a three, and missed it. Popovich was almost certainly talking about the Nets and Teletovic, say multiple sources. Pop's point, of course, was that the team was not making good use of a good player who was raised in a different system.

What I'm noticing. The Nets are rubbing some owners and people the wrong way. Proky if I remember correctly didn't attend any of the owners meeting during the lockout and sided with the players side along with Mickey.

Is it worth it to Mikhail Prokhorov? Probably. Championship aspirations aside, Prokhorov bought his majority stake in the Nets for $225 million. The team's worth is now estimated somewhere between $750 million and $1 billion.

In three years. Proky has taken one of the worst franchises financially wise and horrible history to being worth more than triple what he purchased.

I doubt a lot of people are happy with this

man that dwight pic is pissing me off

Why because he slipped through the hands of the Nets or just how goofy he look ?

Howard was suppose to be a Net , getting his NBA check in cash. Euro's to be exact delivered in an Asic's gym bag.

I applaud the Russian for doing what he had to do to put a winning product on the floor. Fuck the other owners. Fuck my team's owner, Jim Dolan. Brooklyn gonna eat the Knicks lunch next season.

I don't know why the owners are mad. Let him keep spending money and failing. That will only help his squad. He getting niggas past their prime. I can see if he was getting the Lebron's of the world but he getting niggas in their mid 30's and shit. I like that Kirilenko signing though.

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

failing????

Again in 3 years he has transformed one of the worst franchises in the league.

The Mavericks and Jose Caludron spent last night trying to woo Samuel Dalembert.

That sentence right there is funny just saying it.

Proky isn't allowing the new CBA to punk him out and by 2016 we will have cap space during a nice free agency class

You use the words keep failing and overpaying players passed their prime. Maybe you forgot the Mavericks just gave 20 million plus to a 32 year old player and 9 million to a player they traded away who is now at best a bench player and now trying to convince an average center to sign to Dallas instead of taking a pay cut to join Miami.

After missing out on Deron Cp3 Dwight Bynum and others.

Who keeps failing again???

man that dwight pic is pissing me off

He is free agent when the Nets have cap space again:smh::smh::smh:

killa i got your back bro

:lol::lol::lol: thanks man and your gifs have made it on NBA.com that westbrook one and Paul Pierce

How are they going to prove he has a handshake agreement with ak-47? That money is going to be impossible to trace.

I'll take what they are doing over what Cuban has been doing since the new CBA bro

proky got a house in a nice russian suburb filled with wall to wall whores for AK47.

He has other owners salty as hell. Which pleases me as well.

location, location, location..it ain't bout winning chips its about getting that ny money and dats what the owner is doin..knicks haven't won anything in 4 decades but still generate lots of dough the russian saw dat and wanted in on dat..create a bigger brand than the knicks and u now can get dat revenue..straight bizzness with the russian

That hurt killa

at least u won a chip. You know you cool people with me. I respect Dallas for winning a chip. What I don't respect is ignoring your own flaws while pointing out others.

I hear u guys got Monta Ellis. what the hell happens to that rookie now????

I said many times if Deron and Dwight was serious about winning a championship they would be in Dallas right now.

Seriously, if no one made a stink about that Kirilenko signing i would have started to think that more than just the Nets were in on the fuckery thats clearly a foot.

Opting out of $10million and ignoring the other offers to sign a 3million deal with a fellow russian is without a doubt fishy. This guy is handing out suitcases of cash....that or he had Andres mom tied up in a russian basement on a cell phone telling Dre "please sign it baby, it aint worth it".

I'm a believer the Spurs do it too. All those pay cuts those stars are taking. I know Duncan is humble, but his personality make it believable he would take a cut. I'm just not convinced that he REALLY took a cut.

My guess is Larkin gets traded

@timkawakami @SherwoodStrauss Marc Stein reported in 2010 that NBA accountants reviewing Prokhorov's finances thought he was worth $25B.

According to Forbes he is worth 13 billion

Fuck these owners shit is karma

Bitch ass cacs tried to take the power from the players cause of Lebron

They didn't expect a Russian billionaire to piss on their entire CBA

Welcome to the world American sports owners. The Russian makes his money
in Russia and spends it America. He did not buy an NBA team to make a $20
million a year profit. He is doing what Abramov did to Chelase: spend $300
million to buy a championship, losses be damned. Honestly, the NBA should
shut the fuck up. The man is putting money in their pockets. They should give
him the NBA trophy which is worth less $1000 to make... He is playing according
to the rules.
