Couple of things
1. I was wrong. I thought the Western and Eastern conference team was Dallas and NY due to the bad blood between the owners but the teams were actually Cavs and the Spurs. Two teams that had larger offers on the table for AK-47 than the 3 million he settle for in BK.
2. This isn't the first time people felt that Proky broke the rules. Remember after the lockout was lifted and Dwight demanded a trade to BK and Orlando felt the Nets had tampering with Dwight. Saying during the lockout that during Dwight trip in Russia he had met with Proky. Even Dwight best friend said that before the Russia trip Dwight wanted LA but after that he was all BK.
3. The Mirza thing was strange. He was promised the MLE and 15 million. Cleveland and other teams had deals for him. pop and the Spurs wanted Mirza two years ago and went so far to diss the Nets for not using him correctly
What I'm noticing. The Nets are rubbing some owners and people the wrong way. Proky if I remember correctly didn't attend any of the owners meeting during the lockout and sided with the players side along with Mickey.
In three years. Proky has taken one of the worst franchises financially wise and horrible history to being worth more than triple what he purchased.
I doubt a lot of people are happy with this

It passed unnoticed last week when Gregg Popovich, talking about the value of international players in the Spurs system, told Jeff MacDonald of the San Antonio Express News the following...
"I won’t mention the team, but a team we played this season … there was a foreign kid on there and the kid was open all the time. He was out there wondering, ‘What the…? I can’t get the ball?’ You’d see that look on his face five times during the game. While an American kid is dribbling in place, holding the ball. The guy played on a good team overseas, in a good program. He came over … [In Europe], he gets the ball and shoots it. Now, it doesn’t come."
Mirza Teletovic played 10 minutes in the Spurs blowout of the Nets, took one shot, a three, and missed it. Popovich was almost certainly talking about the Nets and Teletovic, say multiple sources. Pop's point, of course, was that the team was not making good use of a good player who was raised in a different system.

Is it worth it to Mikhail Prokhorov? Probably. Championship aspirations aside, Prokhorov bought his majority stake in the Nets for $225 million. The team's worth is now estimated somewhere between $750 million and $1 billion.
