Prosecution is missing out on key questioning of the defense's witnesses.
Air marshall/friend Osterman could have been asked if he literally taught GZ how to kill.
Osterman could have been asked to provide documentation for the book profits. And, bank statements as to how much money was earned from the book sales.
With GZ's gun tucked inside his pants, hidden, with a holster made TO hide it, how did TM see it, go for it, or even know it was there?
They should have asked Geri how she knew GZ for 3.5 years, in and out of work, but doesn't know GZ's wife at all, but knows his voice when he screams. GZ was fucking her. So, the prosecution should say: You've never heard him scream in pain, or scream at an employee or yell at you? She answers NO. So then you go for the objection: Have you ever heard GZ scream...intimately? you did say you texted or spoke with him outside of work after you no longer worked there, yet don't know his wife at all?
