The bizarre event happened last night. Brazilian funk is a very popular music among Brazilian slums and gang members.

Daniel Pellegrin, 20, known as MC Daleste , died after being shot during a show in Campinas (SP) on Saturday night.

20 year old Brazilian funk singer Daniel Pellegrin, better known by his stage name of MC Daleste was shot and killed while performing live on stage in front of more than 5,000 people in the city of Campinas in the Sao Paulo state. Music known in Brazil as funk is a combination of Miami bass from the 80′s and gangsta rap from the 90′s, with a little Brazilian flair thrown in.

The July 6, 2013 incident is being treated by Brazilian police as murder, although despite there being several videos of the fatal shooting, authorities still have no clue as to who fired the shot.
