I don't think they are & remember...the jury aint watching all this biased as coverage either. What the prosecution is doing is giving the defense rope...tons of rope...like Rev Al said today on his radio show, they haven't ended the case & have enough the defense's own bullshit to close the loop & make an argument that the defense can't negate or raise doubt on.
Now, if they close their case without pointing out the contradictions...then they've blown the case.
They're on the ropes right now.. hopefully they swing back, but they haven't yet...
The Medical Examiner showed more heart today than the State has the whole trial..

GZ is not just charged with 2nd Degree murder. There are a list of lesser charges but since a gun was used he will get the mandatory minimum of 25 years regardless of conviction for using a gun.

The burden is definitely on the state... I was just saying that today was the first 100% good day for the prosecution. They've been getting dealt with for the most part for the past week, but today pretty much every witness worked out in their favor,even dude's best friend. Unfortunately one day is only one day. They need to keep it up and they really really need for whatever the defense has in store for them after the prosecution rests. Remember, the defense gets to present their case next.

There 2 big issues: 1 why is GZ driving around by himself w/ a gun as neighborhood watch. 2 the fight, why did it escalate & why was he taking so much responsibility for what was going on in the neighborhood. More importantly, GZ put himself in a situation to have to use deadly force

Not matter what the states does, you guys are TOO EMOTIONAL to get a clear pictures of what going on. You really expect the prosecution to hit a home run every day, is not realistic.
The biggest asset for GZ is that he killed martin and the only testimony we hear is his, that is a HUGE ADVANTAGE, like it or not he got an edge, not to mention that this case is in florida with an all white jury. It's not gonna be pretty.

I'm trying to be optimistic. I AM too emotional about it. And I'm trying to keep in my head that the prosecution is giving them enough rope to hang themselves. Just feels like a title fight where the champ lost the first 6 rounds and needs a knockout to win. Prosecution isn't using the jab!!!!!!!!!!

Calm down, there s enough evidence to show that there was murder. You're simply listening to the media. It's up to the jury from now on.
Listening to Judge Alex so confidently say that GZ would get a conviction overturned on an appeal...I'm sure that the media is slanting this case on purpose for a future date.

you may not agree with our assessment of the first 6 days of trial, but that doesn't mean we're too emotional. Couldn't it just possibly mean that we have a different opinion than you do about the job the state did up until yesterday? A couple years ago I saw Casey Anthony get found not guilty in a case where everything that ever came out of her mouth during her interrogations turned out to be (by her own admission) bold faced lies, and outside of over charging, the prosecution actually did a pretty strong job in that case from start to finish.
So when the prosecution in this case doesn't object to certain things the defense does, and doesn't follow up with obvious follow up questions after a witness says something, etc.... it's an actual problem, it's not an over emotional reaction on our part to talk about it.

They need to stress everyone's inconsistencies during closing arguments. It needs to be clear that George changed his story, and some witnesses changed what they said from time to time... so that the defense can't just point out hers like she is the only one.

On the WFTV.com stream I'm watching/listening to. I think they're going by the state's witness list. They're near the end of that list.
First, the Judge is very impartial.
Second, let's not count out the fact that women have more maternal instinct than men, thus regardless of color, they will be less apt to forgiving the killing of helpless child. Women also don't forgive bullshit being fed to them.

The closing argument is when th state will point out all the bulshit and talk to the jury that there is no other way but to convict.
