I couldn't really watch the rest of the season once they saved hear and Jordan with the Pandora's box shit and then threw her the POV and then HOH.

I knew she was going to win after that and I couldn't bare to watch her win that shit.

I'll be back in 2012 but hopefully they cast this shit waaaaaaaaaayyyyyy better than this season. Between the vest coming back and then Adam and Kalia this shit was terrible.

The producers had they had hand all in that season nuthin happened that wasn't premeditated they was very blunt with it. It pissed me off how it was scripted

Just reading up on this online.

This is the best cast they've had in years in terms of looks. Its smart they went young finally it will make shit more interesting.

There is a brother on there this year also.

The sista on there is fine as hell but I expect her to either like white dudes or not last long. The brother on the show is an ex football player so he'll be a target immediately.

The new rules, 3 noms at once and shit to deter people from "floating" is going to make this shit good.

I'm pissed that they moved After Dark from Showtime to TVGuide channel. I think they shortened it and it will probably be censored now. That is where all the good shit used to happen.

You know how in shows like Survivor and BB they have you say or write down the name of the person you want to vote OFF/OUT during the season ... and then at the finale they switch it up and you write down or say the name of the person you want to WIN (if you're part of the jury)? Well ... she was good friends with the gay dude in the house (Rupaul's Canadian brother) and thought she was voting for him to win ... and selected the key or whatever for the other contestant (brunette white chick) who she was on so-so terms with throughout. Then she had a bit of a temper tantrum and was like "No, no, noooooooooooooooo" and begged and pleaded with the host to correct same, and the show tried to figure things out over the commercial break or whatever. Forget what the final votes were ... and how much her incorrect vote counted for. Shit was pretty embarassing though ...

How was the Canadian version compared to the US?

I think I read since Canada has its own Big Brother now they are going to make it a little more difficult for Canadian fans to get the shit from the American show (like live streams and shit like that).

It was definitely a learning experience for them. I set a series recording for it and saw about 75% of the episodes. Gonna skim over the remaining ones eventually. They did the After Dark (3 hours) stuff late at night like they did in the States on SHOWTIME. So I recorded a few of those and skimmed them over for the chicks in bathing suits & people getting drunk or whatever. Only caught a few. They provided the 24-hour stream for free on the website. Not sure if it stayed up all season (spring 2013). Season overall was ok. Of course knowing my luck (AGOL) ... the mixed Asian chick got voted out IMMEDIATELY (first day or two) :lol: . The brunette chick who won was decent. Nice body here on 27yo Topaz. The house was furnished by The Brick and designed by Rona ... and the season's winner received a new vehicle (think it was the 2013 Ford Trax or something like that) ... $100,000 ... and a $25,000 giftcard to The Brick (home furnishings / electronics / etc). So I guess the grand prizing was worth around $140 - 150,000 total ... whereas in the US they get $500k, right? I was just surprised it took so long to make it to Canada. It debuted in the US back in 2000/2001, and there have already been COUNTLESS international versions around the world. Not sure why it took 12 years for Canada to jump on board given they get decent ratings here on CBS & Global, and this Canadian version aired on Slice.

Yeah the US contestants get 500,000 first place, 50,000 second place, and 25,000 viewers choice.

They changed our after dark fees thing now. Its not longer on Showtime its on a regular channel which I think it will be edited now and will only be on two hours:(:smh:

I think it took so long to come to Canada because I believe the US show has a pretty strong following up there so it probably caused some complications in terms of selling a separate show to people already use to the US one and also the potential overlapping of the shows airing and maybe they were worried about comparisons which could cause low ratings for the Canadian version. It looks like it turned out alright though.
 
After watching that video that dummy really did cost the gay dude to win. The vote after hers was for the gay dude so had she voted correctly that would have been 4-2 for the gay dude and the next vote wouldn't have mattered.

Good points. Yeah ... must have been some contractual rights at play too (seeing as all the international versions which have sprung up over the past 10+ years). They did pretty well overall. Don't recall any ratings numbers being posted or listed, plus they did a pretty good job picking a variety of people (and repping most provinces). They definitely weren't just a bunch of "pretty people" like many of these reality joints.
