I'm still tryin' to work my way through the album, I try to let an album marinate before coming to quick conclusions. With Kanye, sometimes I initially don't like a song & then it grows on me, the only time I remember it didn't was "Hot & Fast Girls" ....I still hate that song. .....We'll see, though, give me a week....:yes:
 
Kanye fucked up......BIG TIME!!!!

I see why the album has no cover art, this record is as pointless as it is directionless. The subject matter is all over the place, the songs have titles with no themes. It sounds like he just freestyled the whole album. If his tank was THAT empty, he should have gotten his ghostwriters together for this effort!!

This album LITERALLY sounds like he said "fuck it, I'm tired, I'm rich, I'm fucking mad bitches, I got Kim, I got a baby on the way, so why give a fuck about the quality of what I put out anymore?"

It's Kanye's first artistic flop in my opinion! Even the production is all over the place!!! That alternative soundscape only works in hiphop with well-thought out lyrics, subject matter and execution! Kanye has ONE song on this album - one! New Slaves...that's IT!!!

Yea I hear ya I'm still letting it marinate. I think jwill said he made this album too fast. It will be classic in 10yrs. He may be right everything may sound like this in the future. And for the record I'm a huge kanye fan I have the 808s bear tatted on my arm. . . No homo

I love the production so far but this sounds like some Saul Williams shit. I'm on track 5 right now so I'll give a real review when I'm done.

I'm a lyrics guy but really enjoyed the production on this album. One track (#9) killed my ears but the rest was enjoyable. I've never just bumped an album for beats before and I didn't listen super closely but this has a novelty appeal to me, at the least.

I see what you tried to do but I'm referring about reviews from the rollingstine, ny times, GQ, La times etc. . . In the end look at the debate this album has stirred. 11 pages and counting on bgol everyone is talking about this album. Isn't that what real art does? People feel strongly about it in either direction
 
Kanye West has done it again. His ability to create hype surrounding his projects is incredible. When was the last time an album was talked about like this one? Marrying Kim K whether real or fake has elevated his status as an icon and has also increased his fan base.

I still cant listen to him rapping.....sounds so elementary.
